new patch

    If the new patch is installed will it still show up as 8 or should it show up as 8.1?

    I just patched to 8.0.1, but it still shows as 8.0.0. But I definitely know it's patched because I had to reinstall portrait packs.

    I strongly suggest that anyone about to activate the patch empty any valuable stuff out of extra-dimensional chests and into their characters' inventories before they do so.

    Patch level releases will only display in the Help system now. You all should get used to checking there to ascertain what version you're playing.

    As of version 8, it is assumed you are simply playing version 8, not 8.764263738, etc.

    Yes. I was playing version 8.0.0 and I patched to 8.0.1 with no problems. However, I don't see 8.0.1 in the help menu of the front end application.

    The help icon is actually in game represented by a question mark in the lower right corner.

    I've attached a few pictures to assist with locating the version of the modpack you're currently playing.
