For Rentsh and Wat you have to have someone that is good at either Gathering Information or Diplomacy I believe, so someone with a high Charisma (paladin, rogue, sorcerer) should be able to get the options to do the Triple Cross. As for the secret door bug could you give a bit more information on where it is and what battle occurred before you opened it?
I'd be interested to see if anyone gets the secret door bug in the Moathouse with 7.9, because I replaced all the secret doors there. There's no real compelling reason to think it will go away because of that, but it's possible the portals themselves were defective. :shrug:
Thanks Gehennis. And about the secret door is the one where the minotaur chest, the second you cross, directions south. Is not a big problem because there are other ways to reach the place. I open the door and the battle start a soon they see me. After battle end y save and exit game. I reload next night and door still close and cannot be opened because trigger is missing, I try the spell and the red circle dont show. If is not overwritten I can send the save. But same as GuardianAngel82 I check around and there is no solution. Best option is keep more savegames, well, not sure about that too, because I read about erase every save to fix the bug.
I've only faced that bug two or three times in all of my play-throughs over the years. The most recent one was with version 7.6. All secret doors were unfindable despite maxing out a characters search and spot skills; even the secret door in the castle in Verbobonc.
I'm not sure that you would have to delete EVERY save but only the ones you made after the bug occurred- all other saves before then should be fine. One of the things I do now when starting a new game is to try to get to the moathouse to see if I can find the secret door there- if I can then the rest of the game should be OK, even as Gaer said though that the history of secret doors in this game is a bit suspect...
Thanks for answer. Is the second or third time I have the door problem in MANY games I begin, is not a problem and maybe I can find where in the save is stored the trigger of the door comparing if that become a pain later. Just checking if there already a solution. Again, thanks.
That's actually incorrect - if you genuinely have the secret door bug, the only known and verified solution is to indeed delete all saves and start a new game. Different people have reported different findings and workarounds over the years, and if you can get something else to work, great. But the only method we can back for sure in the scorched earth one. But it sounds like you might not have the real bug. If what you're having trouble with is a door animation that won't go after the first time, that's something else. The real secret door bug always involves portals - the little blue icons that take you from one area to another.
Well, NEVER see that one, look like a horrible bug. ¿The animation as solution? ¿Need to write IDCLIP into the console?
