i am one of the kind of players who stubbornly insist on getting maximum hp each lv for my characters :)

now i spent many minutes doing this and get a little fed up trying at times :)

soooo ) is there any way to set the game to give max hp allways?

I would like a way to set HP gained per level...
I would probably set it at 75% (this is a varient from unearthed arcana, makes lots of sense... 75% flat per level, no rolling for HP... you don't roll for GAINING skills, why should you roll for HP?)

If this were seriously to be done, I'd b happy with a set minimum, say, instead of d8, have d4+4. I can live with the occasional 5. I tend to reload only if the roll was a complete shocker, or if the character was a wizard n really needed a good roll. Hence in my last play right thru, I did have a sorceror with better hp than my ranger. Cursed the Mersenne soundly for it, too!!!

Ki Rin - best bet is to look around for the console commands and then add in the hp yourself (if it's possible to do this). I can't help very much with this sort of thing because I never use it to be honest. Maybe one of the other people who have replied to the post can help you out with the right command.

to get max hit points open your console and type this in

    game.party[x].stat_base_set(stat_hp_max,y)

x being the party memeber you want to change, 0-7
y being what the max hp should be without con bonuses. this is with each level added in for the total.

i have to do this each time i level up. its supose to be a one time thing but it doesnt work that way

The monsters actually roll for hitpoints. Sometimes this means they're exceptionally wimpy. Other times it makes them really tough.

It's not supposed to be a one time thing. What you're doing is setting the character's current maximum (as in unwounded) hitpoints. You can set it to any value you like. It doesn't have to be the maximum possible HP. It can be greater or smaller.

    Powergamers rejoice :)

Well, I did this quick hack for temple.dll.
Max HP is given on levelup...

Doesn't maximize hps for levelups made before applying this hack, of course. For that you would have to use console as described in the post above.

    Edit:
    current version is
    http://files.co8.org/patch/MaxHP_Setup.exe

Drifter, I used the file and patched the temple.dll but I'm not getting any change at all. Does this require patch 3? I'm only patched through #2 and using the Moebius fixes, Fan patch, and Livonya's mod. Any ideas? Awesome patch, would love to get it to work!
