I've just downloaded and started playing this memorable jewel from my older gaming days... When my party is in the dungeon under the moathouse, I've started getting a BEEP noise (frequency = 1/sec or so). At first I thought this was some sort of non-game-related system warning (like overheating?) but it only happens when the game is running, and only when my adventuring party is under the moathouse... it's never happened anywhere else in the game. Anyone have any ideas? My first guess is it's trying to play some sort of ambient background noise that isn't working right and spitting out a default BEEP instead or something. Any help is appreciated! PS: I've searched the forums for BEEP, with no related results. If I've missed something, I apologize, and please point me to the appropriate message.
Find your ToEE folder, go to data>sound and delete these sound files: test_tone1 test_tone2 test_tone3 test_tone4 test_tone5 Voila, you will no longer go crazy when traveling through the Moathouse. These forum search engines never work right. I just used good ol fashioned Google Here's a simple (better) explanation from Gaear: Found here along with all sorts of other things.
I actually DID come across the post about debugging test-beeps, thought it might be related. Thanx for the heads up!
