    Just noticed 7.9 is due for release today, which is excellent timing given I just finished playing through 7.8 Is it on schedule?!

    Unfortunately, the Circle of Eight Modpack v7.9.0 was delayed for a week due to technical reasons (there is an announcement in the news forum).

    Chances are looking slim that I'll have a proper new HB finished by this weekend. (I've been pressed for time lately.) The rub is, I probably won't fare much better by extending the release another week. What I can guarantee by this weekend is a basic mob replacement with all the newly statted critters. What I can't is much-improved strategies to go with them, which is what I was hoping for.

    Would you people prefer the basic new HB now or a better one in two weeks? I don't really want to extend the date indefinitely to accommodate the 'perfect' HB, as we'll be stepping too far into final push territory for v8, but I also don't really want to push something half-baked out the door. In a perfect world, the new HB will be a pretty damn serious high level new content addition.

    New HB is what everyone is waiting for; I say we should give you the time to get the tactics right.

    Ahh... With all my paperwork I had no time to play ToEE Co8 for several years already... It is so tempting to try it... Yet no time again =/

    I'll definitely wait, better to take your time and make a better product. I'm happy with waiting for 8.0 anyway, since I've been using it as an excuse to have time to finish other games, because when 8.0 is out, I'm probably going to do 2-3 playthroughs.

    Please delay the release of the Circle of Eight Modpack 7.9.0 NC until you have completely finished your new Hickory Branch - that way, we can properly test it and report any bugs for it in preparation for the final release of the Circle of Eight Modpack NC (i.e. version 8.0.0). The new Hickory Branch is pretty much what all gamers are looking forward to in the upcoming version 7.9.0 NC anyway.

    I'd say wait a bit more, might also give TFE-X a bit more of a chance to be tested better too (and the new HB is worth waiting for! :thumbsup:)

    I agree with the wait idea. It is better to put out something that you are happy and proud of then something that you are not and get much ribbing for it. :thumbsup:
