If you want to kill St. Cuthbert,,,you need 2 good fighter with fragarach and
with 150 to 175 of STR (must us the cheat roll)
    and a good healer..
one of the fighter do trip attack to nock him
and the other use full attack

St.Cuthbert got 1550 hit point (and he is crazy)

you need to kill iuz at the same time than St.cuthbert arrive to make him stay in the dongeon...

but he's got nothing on him interresting ;)

Once, I did it and I tried to kill Cuthbert with my solo party. He kicked my 20th PC's ass as quickly I could switch the light on. Heheheh :D Well, Iuz should be at least as strong as Cuthbert, but if he would, any not-epic party would be no match for him. Pity.
And anyway, I belive that a party with a good Fighter or Barbarian wielding old Scather with 2 hands and Power attack at top with stoneskin and all other possibile enhancment should be able to beat Cuthbert. But the reason is: why?

to paraphrase Sir Edmund Hilary, "Because he is there."
edit: Hey, if you kill cuthbert do Terjon, Calmert and the "Other powerful servent of Cuthbert" (trying to a avoid a spoiler there) lose their clerical powers? They should. Does anyone know?

    simple:
    1. Clerics channel devine power, they aren't actually dependant on gods. They can channel power opposite to their god's, and even worship a concept instead of a god.
    2. You aren't destroying st cuthbert, you are killing a physical manifistation of him. Probably an avatar. He will be hurt by it, but not destroyed.

St Cuthbert is a greater god, while Iuz is a demigod. Kinda makes a difference in power, hmmm? ;)

    No...

...it's the real Iuz & the real St. Cuthbert. Iuz has no avatar, and St. Cuthbert's avatar probably couldn't beat Iuz. In addition, they wouldn't settle their differences in front of mortals, and the party shouldn't get a chance to attack or kill them in this game; it was never supposed to be this way. This is a design flaw exploited by players. Iuz would mop up with any party for several reasons...and St Cuthbert wasn't guaranteed to show up if the assaulting party was Neutral or Evil. He'd just leave them to their fate. For the good ones, he'd intervene just to foil Iuz, but he'd wait a little unless one of his followers was in need of aid.
