    Actually, by the rules, Raise Dead will not work on someone who has been turned into an undead (or killed with a death effect). Resurrection (and True Resurrection, of course), however, will, provided you managed to kill the undead creature they became.

    Of course, Resurrection isn't in the game at all.

    Weird thing about Animate Dead, is though the casting time is one standard action, considering you have to touch each corpse you're animating when you cast the spell and it requires you to put a black onyx in the mouth or eye socket of each creature animated before you cast the spell, I just don't see how it could be cast in combat anyway.

    And I think Iuz casting Animate Dead on Zaxis would be considered a bug anyway, since the idea is Iuz raises his fallen minions as undead while St. Cuthbert ressurects the heroes and Zaxis should fall under the hero category in this place.

    Though honestly, my big gripe about the fight is that anyone Iuz turns into a zombie, you don't get any XP for defeating. (The game calculates the XP as if they were a zombie the entire fight, which at that level is worth 0XP.)

    I personally find the idea of Iuz animating Zaxis to fight you quite amusing, not to mention probably quite rare and not worth modding the game to avoid. Its not a bug (like perpetually charmed characters), just a complication. Of course, if it happened to me i would scream blue murder - but it didn't 8^)

    As I said, I don't want to get into any arguements. I don't feel that this board should degenerate into useless namecalling. Therefore, I didn't make any cases, believing the subject wasn't worth it. As for what you took as an ultimatom, it wasn't. It was my choice. If you don't care about my choice (and I see no reason why you should), then just let it go.

    Lets all try to be adults around here. There is so much garbage on these types of forums, why make more? Lets keep the Co8 forum above that kind of thing. Let's try to be productive in our collective endevours.

    I don't mind too much if a dead pc or npc in my party gets animated, but when they get animated and then resurected and healed - the game keeps the animated zombie, revives the character's portrait but not his body the result was a zombie AND ablue location circle (with the inspire courage icon) that can run around and pick up stuff but can't fight or talk (or sing)!

    If you could make it so if a character that has been animated could not be resurected that would also be fine with me.

    Okay, I went to work on Charm, Charm Monster, and Suggestion last night.

    It turns out Suggestion is causing the CTD. NPCs/Monsters should NEVER cast Suggestion as it will cause a CTD if the combat dies and one of your party is under the Suggestion spell.

    So I am changing it so all NPCs/Monsters that use Suggestion will instead use Charm Monster, which doesn't cause the CTD.

    Also, I am working on a complicated script that will keep track of the NPCs that join your party. If one of your NPCs gets Charmed you will need to either kill them, get rid of the Charm spell, or knock them unconcious. And then my script should allow you to get them back into the party without them going hostile.

    It will be a while until I have the script compleated but I think it should work once done.

    If you knock them unconscious, won't the combat end and they automatically die?

    Seriously, that was meant to be constructive - what your doing is great Liv, if it fixes the Lamia thing its a great leap forward. Someone else joined the atari forums (afaik) just to ask about that combat.

    no, I had to knock Paida out after the rescue mission, she went hostile after I returned her to her house, her husband Valden also went hostile. I couldn't go into the Inn after dark, because Valden is there at night and the whole town becomes hostile if you hit him!

    I was thinking a little more about this, how about making the animated pc/npc get dismissed from the group after the casting of animate dead, but before the zombie spawns? They drop all thier possesions when they get animated anyway.

    Newbie queation (sorry!!!! ^^)

    I have probably reinstalled this game about 8 times or more I lost track. I dont know but I am looking for the perfect game experience from this one so I want to add all the patch ups available and needed inorder to play a flawless game. I am new to this forum and I read some of your instructions and posts so now it seems that majority of the ppl dont recommend the patch 3 that is available. Your mod has lot of patch ups and bug fixes now what I am wondering is that does you patch have any incompatibility issues with patch 3 and what do you recommend that I do. I got a bit of a graphical glitch to my card and adding these 3 patches and the templ.ziop file has seemed to done lot of fixes. Good game but poorly made it seems. And are there any other patches that I should think about before i start this entire game again (I havent gotten very far still in Homlet but I felt I mad progress after avoiding the game for 1 and half a year). Please tolerate this newbie queation since I just want to get a proper game from this. Thanks.

    <sigh> You used non-lethal subdual? Now how is it I can't think of something that simple?

    Non-leathal damage does not kill people.

    You don't have to kill them, just hit them with your fists... I would suggest using a spell like Hideous Laughter or Command or Hold Person. Then just beat them with non-lethal damage.

    I mean sure you can just kill them if you want. That will work too.

    As for patch 3... patch3 fixes a single crash bug, that is also fixed by the custom moebius dll file. If I understand correctly, installing the moebius dll will overwrite any changes patch 3 had over patch 2, and "lower" you to patch 2 again, only with a fix for the problem in patch 3.
    I think the reason it is said not to install patch 3 is because its not needed, and whomever suggested it was worrying that they made some other unannounced change which will later on cause conflicts.

    Hi Liv.

    I know this was already asked above by Yarazin, but I was still a bit unclear on your answer. so do you have to change the command line to level past 20 to "-maxlevel10" or to " ]" or not at all?

    when you install Livs mod it automaticly uses the level uncapper so you can go to level 20. if you want to go to level 10 only you need to reactivate the cap which you can do at the begining of the game.
