First order of the day before you go there on the map cast stoneskin on atleast your low HP casters, i had 8 in the party and had to fight all 3 at once....combat expertize on your fighters, even your cleric if you have the feats spare after combat casting, krank it to 5 and get your toughest warrior into the charging lizards and hag, either your cleric or a fighting style character with good AC or combat expertize, on the Gar then pound the living crap out of the frogs with everything you have, sneak attacks, damage spells, even hold or charm if you have the level...the Scarab of Poison Protection should be worn by the PC holding the Hag...with a bit of luck you can pwn all 3 but yes still a tough fight, Improved initiative is useful mostly on your casters not your rogues or warriors strangely enough.

That sounds like a good plan, until the frog swallows one of your people.

I hate it when that happens.

In retrospect, I think I was always using a party of 5 in vanilla. So it never triggered the second encounter unless you retreated too far from the king frog.

This time, in 7.6, I just so happened to have Meleny and Elmo with me, which triggered the simultaneous encounters.
