I am playing 7.5 Just defeated Zuggie and now 5 out of 8 PCs have a purple smoke emanating from them that will not go away. And there is no marker telling me what the condition is. Any advice?
Unfortunately this did not work. Jaroo cast his spells but I am still afflicted with the purple smoke. I tried resting after Jaroo cast his spells but still no luck.
Purple smoke from fighting Zuggy? Sounds like one of the effects from those nasty shrooms won't go away, usually when I experienced this it went away when I changed maps. I would, just for the sake of testing, try casting Heal on one of them and see if it clears up. Also, have you rested after having Jaroo do his thing? Sometimes effects tend to linger after they're gone, but resting lets the visuals "catch up" with the current status. I've had a stat altering effect still show up after the stat had returned to normal, but resting a few times cleared it up.
lol, nope heal wont' work either. I may just redo the battle. Doesn't really affect anything accept for melee targeting. Kind of blocks your view.
One last thing to try is to save and reload, maybe the persistence will go with the reload. Maybe even exit completely out of TOEE.
I've got the same thing - came after I killed Zuggy, then I lost 3 characters fighting the slavers and when I raised them it was still there. Hmmm... (Still playing 7.2 so its not something that new)/
To quote the former Rakkasan: "Purple Haze all in my brain..." Yep, he was in 3/187 of the 101st Airborne Division. He always refused to participate in anti-military protests. When you fly tactical in a Huey over woods just before dawn, the fog down on the ground below the trees looks like rivers of glowing purple smoke. You don't forget it after you've seen it. So, I've always wondered...
Hm, I suppose it might be an indirect result of the game not ending after Zugg, though I haven't heard of it before so it must not be universal. (i.e. no one noticed purple smoke before because you were done playing the game at that point.)
For the record, I am pretty sure the summoned Vrocks are the one that cause the problem, not the shrooms. If Zuggy summons Glazbereau instead I don't think it is an issue.
