Do you use a widescreen resolution or one of the vanilla resolutions? Please say which. This is for basic information gathering.
My native resolution is 1920x1080 but I have the best results using 1024 x 768. EDIT: I meant to change the first set of numbers but changed the last instead. Yeah, I don't think ANY system runs the resolution I had listed.
My monitor is 1366x768. I have another computer that runs at 1440x900, and yet another that is either 800x600 or 1024x768 depending on how much I want to squint.
My native resolution is 1680*1050 but its been so long since I've played ToEE I don't recall if thats practical/enjoyable to play. Booting it up in native it does look beautiful though, I dont forsee a need to lower the res. cheers
I use 1280*720, but only because anything larger than that and the font gets hard to read. Ideally, I'd use 1920*1080.
My laptop only works properly when games use its native resolution (otherwise it get kinda buggy, thanks to stupid nVidia Optimus), so I am using its native resolution (1366x768)
1366*768 I am using the same native resolution for my laptop too, also i always run it with 2nd Nvideo video card. With standart intel integrated video doesn't work with my win7 64
1024x768 Any higher and I'd need one of those plastic magnifier sheets the old ladies use to read the newspaper.... TomtheFighter
I loved the crispy look of 1920x1080, almost looked like brand new game, didn't even mind the small font but alas... invisible characters everywhere but Hommlet. 1600x900 is next best thing for me then, bit blurry but easy to get used to and still looks pretty great.
Originally posted by Gaear: ihateregistering, I wonder whether the fact that you are playing this computer game at an unsupported screen resolution is the cause of your many CTDs (Crash To Desktop) and graphics glitches such as insect swarms because I rarely experience CTDs when playing the Co8 Modpack and I have never experienced graphics glitches such as insect swarms. Try using a supported screen resolution and see if that stops all of the CTDs that you are experiencing while playing the Co8 Modpack.
Interesting theory, then again I'm encountering the same problems that I did during my last playthrough which was on old 4:3 LCD with 1027x768 res – I remember butterfly boom in Hommlet, frequent CTD during traveling (loading of random encounters) and occasional corrupted save. So far no more problems with insects, crashes during traveling could be fixed by choosing a detour and I'm creating two separate saves whenever I win some hard fight just in case... Maybe I'm doing something else that game hates, frequent alt-tabbing comes to mind.
