Hi, it seams the ToEE patch 2 doesnt find my ToEE game. I was wondering how the patch detects the game. If it finds it in the registry please give me the "correct values" Also, it seams I'v goten the wrong language for ToEE, any idea how I can change this? (waiting for the retail version with the correct language, but I would like to play the game while I wait )
Which version of the game are you using? Generally 'can't patch' problems are a result of your antivirus quarantining the ToEE executable (it's a false positive) or having the game installed in Program Files under Windows 7 or Vista, which restrict access to that folder and its subfolders. Not all versions need patching anyway. The modern ones are pre-patched.
Just found a way to fixed it today. My version (and probably his too) are one of skidrow's repack, which have Rus are addtional packet installed by their own setup file. But the original cd-image came with the packet too. So I mounted those cd-image and install as a normal version. => ENG and patched work just fine I didn't notice about those image files because it's was .bin format, that doesn't supported by Windows 8 's build-in virtual CD. Btw, I confirmed that the original game run smooth in windows 8 too .
Sorry, I follow almost none of that, lol. What are skidrow's repack, Rus, packets, own setup files, etc.? Also I doubt that ThE_GuN was using anything modern, as he posted originally in 2005.
