For me the best is dagger, a basic but versatile weapon, consists of a double-edged piercing blade that typically ranges from about six to 24 inches in length.
There is a version of The Bard's Tale available for your iPad that is remarkably true to the original, with voice and all!
A company called Square1 Games offers it, you can search for it at the App Store. I prefer to play in on the iPad so I can see the very nice graphics. It even has the same twisted sense of humor and all. I just went to the App Store and hit the search magnifying glass and typed in Bards Tale and there it was! Pretty cheap too!
Glaive and Long Comp Bow(18St),as reach&damage to weight OK,and quick fire rate for range for later. Slings also with high strength and right Feats. Not tried the exotics yet,but depends on PC classes&feats, limited by this, and also on your enemy-ie attacking Black puddings,lol..... My wizard is using a Rake....
Fairy ninjas- hardest class to roll but the single best weapon solely for one class that I've ever seen- the Cane Corpus. That thing ROCKED! And as for the subject of this thread I am still new to crafting so I stick with the basics- the trusty longsword...
Yeah, the Cane of Corpus is a nightmare to get in Wizardry 7. When he's not running away, he's using it on you and it hurts. Last time I played wasn't so bad though, my Monk got a Critical
I wish I could find a copy of Wiz 7&8 that would run on my Win7 .... I can dream you know. What's cruel is I just dug through my old games bookcase and found disc 2 and 3 but nothing else. GAAAHHH!!!!
Buy yourself an old computer and use it as a dedicated "oldgames" gamingmachine? A simple P4 running on XP won't cost you a lot, this day and age.
No no, DosBox does work on Win7 wonderfully. I'm actually playing Ultima 7 "The Black Gate" and it even fits to my wide screen. Thank you GoG!!! I guess what I should have said was ... where can I download a version GoG style with all the DosBox stuff done for me.
