Hi everybody, I've been a member of this community for several years, but alas only in the summer do I find some time to check up on updates and such. As a result, I am always lagging behind on the various mods and add-ons. I wanted to ask a few questions, some of which I likely asked last summer as well: 1)Is it possible, in project (or has it maybe been done already) to add subraces to ToEE? Drow, Aasimar, Tiefling, Half-celestials and so on? 2) Have High Level Abilities been implemented? Things such as Improved Flurry for monks, Tireless Rage for Barbarians, Elemental Shape for Druids and so on. 3) Has the sai been implemented as a monk weapon? I seem to remember it is mentioned in the monk weapons but was not in-game, while it would be (at least conceptually, I'm absolutely useless at programming) easy to implement: just make a dagger giving also a tiny defence bonus (and one for disarm, had disarming been available). Thanks to everybody willing to answer.
1. Nope. 2. I'm not sure what all's been added over the years, but each class has enough feats to choose from to reach level 20. Do a word search for "feat" in the readme. 3. No.
Hi Gaear, thx for the quick reply (I suspect it's you every year who take care of helping me out). Could you clarify why the sai has never been implemented? I suppose adding subraces is impossible due to game limitations, but slightly altering a dagger does not seem so hard. After all other weapons were introduced. Probably there's no way to make weapons that give a DEF bonus?
Good idea, I should try that. Thanks. As for subraces? I suppose they are impossible to implement due to game limitations? Or is there just not much request for them?
Drow are just monsters. We can't add new races - core engine limitations. I can't speak for all other modders over the years (particularly the item creation specialists), but it never occurred to me to add the sai any more than it occurred to me to add cabbages to Black Jay's field or rubber gloves to Fruella's inventory.
Uhm... Ok, I obviously can do without sai's:yes: I just thought they make a little more sense than cabbages since, if I remember correctly, they appear in the list of specific monk weapons in the game. And I've always thought them to be cool. Come to think about it, however, a ranged cabbage-throwing rogue could be nice as well...
