    Meleny might count as a follower, rather than NPC, if so.

    No crash at all. I didn't know ToEE differentiated between NPCs and followers (which are also a type of NPC, but that's getting picky, isn't it?).

    i've been playing with 2 pcs, 6 npcs, and couldn't recruit a 7th no probs here. Great work Dulcaoin

    I think I found a problem... I was playing with 8 pc's (I made 9) the other day, one died so I took his stuff, deleted the character, went to the inn, clicked on the book and got rewarded with a CTD!

    Sounds like the same (known) problem Zebedee reported on the 28th. It seems that now the game requires the player to bring up the party pool in order to cause a CTD, but all avenues towards adding too many to the party have been fixed.

    I don't currently have a fix for the party_pool() problem, but feel we're one step closer to solving this issue completely. Perhaps someday with enough work, we can figure out where to patch to fix this last CTD :-/
