    Did you click on the "Save" button after configuring the options on the front end? Cause if you didn't, all you did will be for naught.

    To answer your first question WS, I think & guess it's the ".tfm" - the one w/ the pretty big file size.

    For your second question, Zuggy will still be as Zuggy. I mean that she's not the final boss anymore since she can be killed in the middle part of the game, try finishing the WotGS in the defending side and you'll find your (almost non-defeat-able) "Evil" boss. :transform

    About the Co8 wizards, I think they're not included here in v7 yet, cause I haven't seen them when I'm beta testing it. Maybe Gaear has a bigger plan in v8 for all of us. ;)

    That was never intended. I'll have to have a look. not even sure what we 'fixed' with that ...

    I thought one of the conditions was that you were group party level 6 or something.

    Just go to your ToEE root directory and delete the file "Circle of Eight Modpack 6.1.0.tfm".

    Been using the console?

    Missed that one, sorry. (Does anybody actually go that route?) It looks like it's any_evil, btw.

    There are now, after a fashion, although they were admittedly sort of thrown together in the form of ... something a lot of people seem to have always wanted to do. :shrug:

    See the various readmes/changelogs found all over. I think that's like the first or second item.

    We are aware that we changed the models to the base gargoyle model. There was actually a thread about this where community input was sought. If it turns out that players dislike them more than like them, we'll probably change them back, but personally I thought the old ones were lame. They looked like peaceable geckos or something, and their protos made it so their z axis was way off the ground, making you swing at their toes all the time.

    Well, I reloaded after I posted, and it took another change of map or two as before, so that's still working the same. Still, I'm thinking the event (and Preston's warning) shouldn't trigger the second you buy the house.

    Aren't there ice wyverns or something-other in the Water Node? That's the models you've been using before... IMO, wyverns are much closer to dragons than gargoyles.

    Yeah, that's what we used before. I guess to each his own, but a side-by-side comparison (this was provided in the above-mentioned thread) shows that the wyverns are rather dramatically less detailed. Also the things about them looking lame and swinging at their knees. The gargoyle models (the colors were customized for the dragon meshes) are much more robust and they are at the proper elevation.

    Dragons should not look lame, and there are really no other contenders among existing models. (I've looked extensively.)

    Hello again
    I posted a few days ago, asking about why I am capped at level 10

    I would really l ike to progress and continue with this V7 NC but wish I could continue to level up.

    I mentioned this on previous post
    But again

    I went back and made adjustments on options at start up.
    Re started a game, continue on and level up as normal
    Then got to level 10 and continued . I have started getting xp (because I am top of level 10)
    Can not seem to level up to level 11
    Even tried to use consol cheat to level up and that did not work

    Any suggestions?
    Thoughts?

    Q; How can I enable the Front End application (used to launch ToEE) to be opened normally by double clicking? As far as I know I have to right click and run as administrator all the time.

    The level cap utility does not need to be installed separately and is active by default. This means that if you do nothing, the game will continue to level your characters until level 20.

    The fact that it's not working for you either means that you're not playing the modpack (did you wait until it was fully activated?) or that somehow the .dll that makes leveling past 10 possible (the one distributed with the modpack) is not being used. This is basically impossible if you installed the modpack correctly.

    Some questions:

    1. When you launch the game, does it say "Circle of Eight Modpack 7.0.0" on the splash screen?
    2. If you click the help icon in-game and look at the Co8 section at the top, does it say "Circle of Eight Modpack 7.0.0?"
    3. When you start a new game, do you start in the Co8 shopmap instead of one of the vignettes?
    If the answer to all these is yes, then you're probably best off reinstalling once again from the ground up and reporting here the exact steps you've taken as you take them. You should basically not do anything that the installation instructions and installer don't tell you to do, and do everything that the installation instructions and installer do tell you to do.

    Ahh, major issue for me. I just installed windows 7 to my computer (from vista), and now when I play ToEE, the display on my screen isn't fullscreen anymore. see attachment

    How do I get it to go back to full screen?

    EDIT: Never mind. I was able to change my screen resolution to full screen, it was at best fit which made the ugly black bars on the side.

    V7 released already?
    Durn I mean...AWESOME!!!!
    I was laying through again with an uber party on the last version, but I want that golden skull quest... and gonna change some things on my builds...

    One question-(I know selfish to ask here, but could be version relative) does the Ranger 2handed weapon feats and the actual feats stack? I'm guessing no, but it has a lot of weight on how I build my uber 2weapon fighter.

    So I need to read up on how to uninstal last version and properly install V7 I am guessing...and I need to start over :( It's ok I mucked up a feat selection on my Bard and cleric leveling anywho!

    Just a couple of more questions:

    1. Do I need to be a evil PC in order to have Darlia give me his quest line? I am playing a CG party and whenever I talk to him the conversation always lead to no where.

    2. For WoGS I only get the option to defend Hommlet. There is no chance for me to join Hextors during the conversation with the priest. Do I need to play a evil party in order to trigger the Attacker option?

    3. For the quest of Demon and Demigod, it was not meant to be finished in current mod? with all my PCs at level 20 and fully equipped I still had no chance finishing this quest.


    Finally I think the flying giant geko is much better than a giant Gargoyle

    No, just sufficient dialogue skills and/or reputations.

    The only parties who can join are those with fellow Hextorite talkers.

    I suspect this will be one of those all-over-the-map things ... some will say ZMOG, others will say meh, because player skill level varies so widely and that seems to be felt more with higher levels. What it was hoped to be is very, very hard - a proper 'boss' fight.

    What ever happened to the Royo Portraits ? I've followed a number of "Portrait" threads

    ( I'm not really artistic enough to cobble together anything worth looking at ... ) but can't seem

    to find out why they went away or if anyone has a set they've gotten to work with 6x+

    series.



    Been following Co8 Since Mod 5.0 and now we've reached 7x - Gotta admire y'all - Thank's for the gift of a functional, flushed out, TOEE !

    Royo art was never made into an 'official' portrait pack for modern Co8 mods, and any old ones will almost certainly not work properly with them. See the 'portraits made easy' thread to make custom portrait packs.

    Thanks. yah I thought about that a Hextor character might be able to trigger that option. I did re-roll a party with Hextor but encountered the "secret door"" bug late in the game:sadblinky .. so I decided to just ask here.

    As for Demon and Demigod... I guess my play strategy is not good enough in this case... I 'lll try harder next time :D. I noticed that stone skin works pretty well in the battle but 8 (or more hits) from each Avatar is a bit brutal.

    A copule of more things I noticed (no console was ever used in my gameplay)

    1. Chain Lightning seem to cause CTD randomly... sometimes it works fine the other time it just cause CTD. Especially when I have more than 4 targets

    2. If I previously enchant Holy property onto a weapon, then hand this weapon to a Sorc for enchanting the "holy" property would show up as an empty space.

    3. I am not sure how many properties exactly you can add onto a weapon, it seems that whenever I try to add all 3 burst effects at the same time I would get CTD. Occasionally it does work though but for the most of ttime it won't. I was thinking maybe this is due to the weapon itself already has a lot of properties (+1,2,3,Holy,flame, and etc in addition to all the bursts)

    In any case thank you very much for the mod. This is the most amazing community ever. Without the NC and all the fixes you guys worked through out the years ToEE would not be a complete game.
