I would like to contribute this post with some ToEE modding history. I believe Livonya's mod has inspired all of today's modern modders, including ShiningTed. a thank you note: Her mod made the game playable. ShiningTed started the new, modern effort to mod ToEE: ShiningTed showed up one day and said, "Let's mod ToEE." And thus, it began. This was a long time before the KotB mod started. ShiningTed created the Desperate Housewives mod that showed me what was possible with awe. Allyx starting the Verbobonc mod caused me to say, "Hey, I wanna make a mod, too."; his goal to make a fedex mod inspired me to create a hack-and-slash mod called Hickory Branch. Kudos and THX with Honorable Mention for help and learning to mod that allowed me to create Hickory Branch goes to Agetian, ShiningTed, Allyx, Cujo, and Cerulean the Blue. Agetian - without whom, ToEE design tools to implement maps, new and re-used, would not exist and, thus, making new mods containing maps with monsters, gear, and loot would be impossible. note: SuperTHX to Agetian. ShiningTed - I made a PDF copy of ShiningTed's 'How To' instructions. note: As a thank you, I finished a new PDF file with tutorials added from his blog site of tutorial information, dated August 31, 2011. Thanks, ShiningTed. http://www.co8.org/forum/showpost.php?p=38683&postcount=2 Allyx - his inspiration to say why not and make a new big mod Cujo - the model skins guy for new stuff Cerulean the Blue - helped me to understand debugging python scripts Additionally with much kudos and THX, vampiricpuppy helped with instructions and touch-ups for newer maps of my new release of Hickory Branch. My newer revision of Hickory Branch mod was not finished. It contained a new big super map and a complete revision of everything with new stuff, including new monsters added to ToEE. I had all of the stuff for the new revision of my mod in separate pieces. note: At one point, I lost track of these files, literal years ago. I would also like to say THX to original modders like sir_toejam, Livonya, SpellSlinger, and darmagon and also say THX to some other newer modders like maggit, Cuchulainn, and Ax Thrower. Plus, I would like to say THX to Co8 Supporters like Gaear, Lord Spike, Zebedee, and Kalshane.
Awesome Post krunch. I second to all listed above who started and forwarded along this great modding community and experience. I also definitely want to give some major Props to those who are maintaining and leading the way these days. A special GOLD STAR to "Big G", Gaeer, for keeping it all organized and leading the new way.
I agree with krunch's post almost completely, except that he, (purposely?) left out one contributor that certainly merit's mention. And that would be krunch himself. As I have said many times and will most certainly say again ... Co8 ROCKS!!!!
I'm looking to get back into this game after a long lay-off...it's just so good. and since i've been dm in real life i don't get to play a character of any real relevance, this might help.
Nice to see you Heavy D ... you might want to wait until December 20 when the latest modpack comes out.
maybe i will wait. not that long. give me time to think what i want to play with. and not like i have much time on weekends anyways.
Three years ago I weighed 258 lbs. I changed different aspects of eating and liquids over the last three years. I lost 101 lbs from changing my eating and fluids. I started working out three weeks ago, lost 2 more lbs and weigh 155 lbs. I have weighed 155 lbs for 3 weeks. I am now 5'-7" in. and 155 lbs. Even when I was in the military, I only wore 33 in. waist pants. I have never wore 31 in. waist pants as an adult, until now.
Heya, gang! I hope you are all well. Still doing the DDO, so come find me there if you wanna run some stuff. -S
