Hey cezmail have you tried this compilation of Baldurs Gate I, (Tales of the Sword Coast), Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn and Baldur’s Gate II: Throne of Bhaal all rolled up into one game on the BGII engine? Click here to check out the Baldur's Gate Trilogy. I've played through this trio sooooo many times, I can't even imagine it not being together.
Re: 7.0?? Actually I had not. I had played vanilla BG1 before and even had BG2. I just did not have ToB, so that is why I bought the duo from GoG. I have yet to really tackle ToB as I keep changing characters and parties. I will check this out, so thanks for the link Sirchet. Much appreciated.
Re: 7.0?? Yeah proper installation of that Trilogy is somewhat complicated, but as Sir Chet points out, very worth it!! Tons of mods on the SpellHold website... just watch for what you install as being compatible with each other... Good Luck!
Re: 7.0?? When you install the WeiDu it will move and convert the assets from the BG1 engine and add these newly created files to the BG2 install along with some nifty fixes and such. It's just an .exe file that you have to tell where to find both installs of the game, (BG1 & BG2). I recommend going to the site and reading the forum if you think you might have trouble installing it. It installed rather easy for me, but I have been involved with the modding community for the Infinity Engine for a number of years now. Here's a good site for answers to any questions you might have. Click here for Black Wyrm's Lair Here's a link to the mods website with a download waiting for you. Spellhold Studios - Baldurs Gate Trilogy You might want to check out some of the other smaller mods they offer also. As in ALL of my posts, if it's in Yellow it's a link.
Re: 7.0?? Hey, Thought to help fellow gamer(s) with Baldur's Gate. If you are going to install BGT, I would go straight with Big World Project. I myself have really enjoyed it. I would advise to go with the recommended mod setup first, to get the "best" out of it, before going with a larger setup (unless you really know what mods you want). I think there has been some issues about the guy updating the links to the Setup-File not being able to do it anymore, but you can always get the mod files that the tool fails to automatically download from here. -Pekkias
Re: 7.0?? Sorry, it has been years since I actually installed it. I could've swore I had to direct it to my BGII install also. It would seem I gave you incorrect information, just give it the path to your BGI install. A side note; sometimes I have to write down a path EXACTLY as it is shown by my pc. If you hover your cursor over the abstract device on your desktop that starts BGI it should display the complete and correct path to the installation, or right click it and and click properties, then go to the "TARGET" tab, you should see the correct and complete path to the install there. I recommend you cut and paste it from there.
I had hope that "icewind gate" will be finish. Proyect was very promising, but last beat had a few years, an toon of bugs. But the idea of playing this magnific game in a third edition rules...
Ahhhhh, this reminds me of the time when I was young AND played BG2... Sweet, sweet Aerie, where are you now...
If you have Neverwinter Nights 2 you can play a wonderful rendition of Icewind Dale thanks to slowdive_fan and his team. The campaign is available here for download: Click Here for Icewind Dale NWN2. slowdive_fan has transposed the dialog, voice overs and movies from the infinity engine directly to the NWN2 campaign and has also done a remarkable job recreating the areas in 3D. In my opinion it is one of the best Icewind Dale experiences anyone could hope to have.
Holy crap, I now wish I hadn't deleted the .ISOs of the game I was keeping, cause I don't have the CDs with the game anymore (( Why does this always happen.
