    Ah, ok.
That means if i rest 10 days then i have 10x a chance to get a successful fortitude roll ?
Or only once during the "wake up" from resting ?

I really fear a permanent attribut loose !

No permanent damage from disease or poison, just rest until they go away.

Or you can buy a scroll from Burne and use it at level 1!

Also, if you have a druid or someone with high UMD, my favourite strategy has always been to charm the bear (Charm Animal) to get the two fight each other. IIRC, there's a scroll of that lying around somewhere (MH tower, perhaps?).

With a little strategy and a lot of luck, the fight is actually quite doable at level 1.

I think the only way to take perm. ability damage in the game is if the wiz/sorc familiar dies and you dismiss him instead of resurrecting (-1 CON).

Just do folks know, Tash's is a first level bard spell. That is if you have a Bard. :)

It is, though at the cost of lower DC.

I would like to ask if there is any rule of thumb for resting in dungeons and other "yellow tent" places ?
I just rested in the moathouse and got attacked by 5 gigant lizards...ok
I killed them i tried it again...and yes...again some gigant lizards.
Ok, killed them and...rest...and (argh!) another 4 gigant lizards and got 2 characters killed this time...

    What the **** ? ;)

I need to rest because all my spells are used up but it seems impossible to rest inside the moathouse, at least if the dice's are against you.

What would you do in such a situation ?
Flee the dungeon and rest in Hommlet just to come back to kill the last enemys ?

There is a green tent location in the moathouse, that you can retreat to and rest safely without going back to town. Espically if your low enough on HP's and spells that you even fear a random encounter retreating to Homlet. I don't want to be a spoiler, but if you ask where it is myself or someone else will surlely give it to you as its very well known (except to first timers).
Otherwise, I can only speak from my own personel experience and I do believe some locations have higher chances of random encounters while resting then others. I always get attacked if I attempt to rest in Emirdy Meadows or Welkwood Bog except for the opening area where you first enter and can travel from. I have successfully rested in yellow tent locations in the moathouse which I have wieghed the odds and done after a brutal Laeth Battle and don't quite want to exit yet;).
I find two yellow tent locations that offer at least 50/50 odds if not a little better of an successful rest is Delko Grove, and the first map of welkwood bog. Before you go through the first blue door, and I have used these when I have commanded Zombies or Charmed creatures, that I still want to get some use out of but, can't bring to town because the Towns folk I guess find it offensive. No matter how much I try to tell them that its perfectly safe, and I have full control of the savage beasts (guess they saw King Kong).

Ok, i found that "room" and after resting destroyed all enemys (The Master and those dumb guys outside the dungeon) without problems.

    Now another question: ;)
How can i see if i have to identify a magic item ?
Only if i cant press SHIFT to get more informations ?
Or if i cant see the stats (AC ect.) ?

If its already identified it will say it "already identified" when you scroll the ? mark over it.

Try Rays of Enfeeblement instead of the wussy Magic Missiles.

Another thing to keep in mind, although expensive, is that you can by a teleport scroll from Byrne's merchant. Be careful when you rest in a yellow area, as the random encounters can indeed be brutal. Especially at low level and when you have depleted your healing/offensive spells. Another reason to have your spellcasters take scribe spell. :)

This also hurts his save to escape Entanglement and Web spells.
