Is there any way someone could increase the variety of monsters encountered between Hommlet & Emridy Meadows & Nulb?

It seems like it would nice to add in Ogres, Bugbears, Hobgoblins, Gnolls, and other non-humanoid monsters.

So far all I have encountered between these locations are:

    Zombie
    Lacedon
    Giant Lizard
    Lizardmen
    Giant Crawdad
    Brigands
    Skeletons
    Skeleton Gnolls
    maybe several others...

I was just thinking it would be nice to increase the variety of monsters encountered. What about a Lamia, Gargoyle, Beholder, or other cool monsters?

Well, I would rather NOT run into a lamia. I have had prince thrommel after me after a lamia died! You REALLy don't want to have that happen to you.

You can also get bears, both black and brown, and owlbears too, which are nasty! Oh, you can also get wolves as well.

You can also encounter ghouls, ghasts, zombies and harpies. Plus you can also encounter pirates and also a brigand group led by a second level barbarian, complete with barbarian armour and great axe (and horned helmet!)
