I found two weird things while fiddling around with power attack: 1. The radiant longsword that you get from Filliken for marrying his daughter is somehow classified as a light weapon (so no power attack but finessable) is this a bug? 2. Also sometimes when I power attack with a greatsword I get +3 damage instead of the +6 I expect. This happens mostly when I got a bunch of buffs on the dude, is this a known issue?
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread Just an update, now the longsword works with power attack again, weird...
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread Were you enlarged the first time?
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread Yeah, I think so, that makes a difference? Is there a comprehensive list of the bugs/differences from PnP for ToEE? My druid moves at spd 5 when wildshaped. There goes my 24-7 wildshaped druid. :twitch:
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread Enlarge work rather weird in this game. I use it extensively. If you are holding a medium weapon, like a longsword, when enlarged, it should, and mostly does, grow with you into a large weapon, doing more damage. But if you switch weapons while enlarged, the weapons in your backpack don't grow, so as a large humanoid, you cannot power attack with a medium weapon. You can, however use 2 medium weapons in each hand without penalty, so you can use 2 polearms as one handed weapons. What are you wildshaping into? Your STR converts to the new shape, and even though your equipment melds with you, the game keeps track of your encumbrance, so changing into something not as strong will weigh you down. Its even worse if your druid is small to begin with (halfling or gnome) as the animals you change into are small, and a small polar bear sucks. Might as well be a housecat.
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread I don't think it has to do with encumbrance. My human druid wildshape into bears with str in the high teens and low twenties. What happens is that my wildshaped druids starts off with 30 speed just after changing but will drop to spd 5 once I go through a door or stair icon or even after he moves around a bit.
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread I know you said you were enlarged, so when you were big the sword acts like a long sword, so you can wield it in one hand. I think this is why you only got the normal strength bonus and not the 1.5 it should. Just one of the quirks of the game.
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread For your druid, the weight of what the druid was carrying may have encumbered him. Try to remove everything and have him wild shape and see if the speed bug still strikes him. Also remember to cast long stride before you shape to get the extra speed.
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread Ok, I tried it with a naked druid and he was fine. So this means I have to have a naked druid if I want anything to do with wildshaping? That kinda sucks. I'm just not understanding the algorithm being used by the game here. My wildshaped form has a higher str than my normal form and my normal form is still just lightly encumbered even with all his stuff.
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread What race is your druid and what is his STR score? What are you changing into? You should be able to access the character screen while wildshaped, but the inventory will not be available, what is the new STR score?
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread Original: human with 16 str Wildshape: polar bear with 27 str So you can see my confusion. Anything that would've dropped my polar bear to 5 speed would've done the same to my original druid as well.
Re: Circle of Eight Modpack v6 / v6 NC General Commentary & Discussion Thread Well that is indeed a puzzler for me. Not sure why the game is doing that to you. Just curious, you might want to test this by consoling the druid to a higher strength and see if carrying anything still limits your speed when wildshaped. If so then maybe you got a possible bug. By any chance does your druid have any conditions or a permanency bug that may be interfering with the shape change?
It is when a character has a spell effect they does not go away. if you talk to Jaroo he can kill you and then raise you at no penalty. This should then have any permanent bugs taken away/
