ive never had that much problems with the secret doors. but the locked ones on the other hand. for some reason when i tell my thief to pick the lock nothing happens. the padlock icon appears and when i click on the door it just says door is locked, they dont even try picking the lock. ive only had them do it twice in the entire game. thats an annoying bug, have carry knock scrolls around if i want to finish the temple.

I've run into that problem before, but found I can select my rogue, right-click on the locked door and then choose "Pick Lock" from the Radial Menu and that will work.

    The "fix" for secret doors

This is a known bug as described on the Atari boards. The solution is to delete ALL of your old saved games (including auto saves) before starting a new game. Basically, when you try to load a game, there should be no saved game to select.

Personally, I always shut down the computer at this point. I've had mixed luck with simply rebooting the computer. Now you can start a new game and find the secret doors. I've probably started a dozen games using the procedures above with a 100% sucess rate.

Moving all my save games to a different folder worked. Never had to do that before, but at least I can play again. Shame I lost the 6 hours of time I'd put into that first game, though.

Sounds cool but how do we 1) know the map # and 2) how do we get xy coordinates from the game?

    Teleporting

I attached the file MapList.mes. It contains a list of all maps, with the very first number in each line being the map number, and the two numbers after the map name being the x and y coordinates. So if you're stuck somewhere because a secret door doesn't appear, just teleport ...
