Hello all I bought the game from GoG.com a few days ago - and having a blast with the mod pack. this is the first CRPG i've played in the last seven years or so - so i'm kinda rusty. to the point i'm playing a Human Fighter wielding a Glaive and i wan't to use the whirlwind feat. :dribble: im at level 3 and can't choose the 'spring attack' feat for some reason. here's a picture of my character's stats: http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr67/yarock6/springbreak.jpg so.. what am i doing wrong here? is that feat only available at 6'th level or something like that?
For Spring Attack, you need a Min of a 13 Dex, Dodge, Mobility, and a Base Attack of +4, so you need to be at least a level 4 Fighter Type to get it. That is why you could not access it at Level 3.
For fighter types, i.e. fighter, paladin, ranger, barbarian. For mage types it's every other level, and for the rest something in between.
Correct. Holy types and monks are about two out of three, If you either use the manual or click the question mark in the game menu, you can read about the whole class and the abilities for each. It will also mention the BaB progression for you.
Here is anothr nubish question: i picked the whirlwind feat - but i'm a bit confused about how to use it. if no enemies are near me and I pick the Feat from the radial menu - my turn ends. if there are enemies within my weapons reach - my character attacks them one by one. is this how it should work? no fancy spinning around all over the place?
Mechanically speaking, yes, that's how it's supposed to work. Whirlwind attack allows you to make one attack at full BAB against all enemies within reach (foregoing any additional attacks you might have). Technically speaking, I guess the designers didn't have time or didn't want to create special animation for it, but it still should have worked the same.
hi all i have another question - i tried searching google and the manual but didn't find an answer there. two of my characters are poisoned - one has three little green icons under her portrait and the other has two green icons. the icon's description says it's Carrion Crawller Brain Juice. I went to the priest in Hommlet and have him use the cure poison spell. but that didn't work. i also tried resting - that didn't help as well. so how do i cure them? what's the secret here? thanks guys
Sounds like spell permanency to me. Try talking Jaroo about it. He will kill and ressurect your characters for free and with no xp penalty.
