Okay so I'm near the end of the game. About to go into the nodes, have well over 400k for cash and five level 13 or 14 (I forget) adventurers. My mage is capable of most of the good enchancements. But do I get shock, frost or flame? I thought the fire one first but would it be better to get another that would work better on the balrog in the fire node?
Well, if you want it to work against all the demons, Icy Burst is the only one that has a chance. As a general rule, demons are immune to electricity and have resistances to fire and cold, and the balor is also immune against fire. But generally among all monsters, immunity to electricity is less common than against fire or cold, if memory serves. The enchantments that really rule the demons are Holy and Axiomatic, though, because they are all chaotic evil.
