Can you post a screenshot? I don't really want to install the .NET architecture if I don't have to. Chris Woods
Heh, this screenshot wasnt made by me, you should thank Mr. Underhill for this. And btw my desktop is plain Windows 2003 server, not this nice looking desktop (btw what is it ? looks damn nice Anyway, i should have weapon editor ready soon ( today, max. tomorrow ) And I like how it works
3 screeshots of weapon editor ( well,it will be full protos.tab editor later, but now just weapons are editable). 1. sshot shows editor layout (and editing size property) 2. sshot shows editing weapon bonuses (it is quite complicated and won't work for some special weapons like staff of striking; i mean - if you don't know what values should be where, ToEE will probably crash ). 3.sshot shows editing flags ( with multiple combined values )
-I'm running WinXp pro, but I use an alternative shell called Litestep, It's a highly customizable shell replacement with loads of functionality and highly adaptable, you can create bare minimum shells, or add about any thing you wish. It's basically and .exe replacement for explorer.exe with a bunch of .dll's or modules that add additional functions, ie., A VMW, Winamp controls, System monitors, clocks, and so on, there must be a few hundred different modules out there, all configured through text files. Litestep was originally designed by literunner, as a NextStep like shell for windows, he then opensourced the project and want on to other things, like winamp with Nullsoft. The project has been kept up for well over 6 years and is by far and above the most robost and stable shell replacement available. My theme is called Litegnome, but I have heavily modified it to my own ends. info: Litestep.net Shellfront btw...back on topic kobayashi those screens look great. can't wait for this. ScreenShot of my current Litestep theme:
Is saving disabled because it wouldn't work or is it disabled because you haven't tested it much yet? If you want to give us a -switch of some sort to enable saving then we could help you debug.
Kobiyashi - If you're looking for more data on what the fields are labelled, this is the list I'm working off of right now. http://www3.telus.net/vaevictis666/toee/protos_column_descriptions.txt
Vaevictis666: great list, thanks. I may add a few fields, mostly weapon specific. col68 is critical dmg. multiplier , empty field = x2 col73 is start of crit. range, empty field = 20 cols168-200: 11 set of bonuses, each bonus takes 3 fields : type, param1 and param2 (they differ for each type) I'm not sure, if there is more than 11 sets, 11 was max I found , so i consider it "safety maximum" BTW protos.tab is absolute mess - if i was the boss and programmer gave me this sh*t, i'd fire him in a second.
