I believe it lasts five rounds, i'm not home so I don't have my books right now so I may be mistaken.
In our weekly PnP session we go with you sing/hum/play instrument for two rounds and the effects last five more after you stop.

EDIT: OK, after getting home and looking it up. Here is how the SRD words it; The effect lasts for as long as the ally hears the bard sing and for 5 rounds thereafter. ... click on the yellow text to read the SRD yourself. ;)

I picked up Zaxis this time and discovered something that may be a bug or may be on purpose. SORT OF SPOILER:>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>When you conclude his search he no longer offers a dialogue to leave the group. I haven't tested in every zone but he won't leave me through dialogue in Nulb.

rogues are not needed in TOEE (baulders gate maybe but not here) i cross class all my talking skills and open locks and havent had a problem with chests or people giving me the options to bluff, intimidate, ect. (granted you have to wait a level or 2 in hommlet before talking to peeps but that is easy enough with the other quests the town offers)

He is probably the most annoying NPC in the game, I usually kill him on sight!

There is a poll option missing, "I sometimes have a bard in my party"
I think bards are useful and if you use 6 PC's thare is always room for a bard, if his/her stats are ok. I like to mix and match my chars depending on my party alignment, so I don't always have a bard.

You don't actually need a rogue in BG, you can force a lock if you're strong enough.

It's something that was overlooked in TOEE in my opinion.

BG would leave you enough room to bypass them and still get where you needed to go.

You needed a rouge if you wanted to get the extra loot and such that's in a trapped chest, or wall fissure.

But you could actually complete the game without a rouge, I just did again the day before yesterday. ;)

I'm loving the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, it's pretty cool and runs well on my Win7 64 bit machine.

In BGEE there is a monk in Nashkel just outside the inn being questioned by the townsfolk, maybe you should listen in, or even talk to him.

Did you find the Wild Mage NPC, she's fun ... When she isn't polymorphing or blowing herself up by accident. :)

Where did you find a trap that you couldn't carefully walk around, usually you just have to stay by the wall.

Granted, I do usually have someone who can find a trap just not disarm it, (Ranger, Wizard, Monk).

Ahhhh, BG2 IS a different story.

I believe they plan on releasing a BG2EE some time in the near future.

I doubt anyone will ever agree to the restrictions set down by WotC, thus preventing any further efforts to continue the saga of BG.
