    #11. ToEE Front End Errors ***SEE BELOW***

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Symptom: When I try to launch the game through the ToEE frontend program, I get an error message saying that it won't initialise. The error message may read "The application failed to initialize properly (00xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application," or "One of the game folders can't be accessed. Make sure that no other application uses any of the game folders, then try again," or something similar.

    Solution: ToEEFE requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 to run properly. Verify that you have it installed. (If not, you can get it here.) Also, make sure that none of the Temple of Elemental Evil folders or subfolders are open in Windows Explorer. If they are, the front end won't launch. If the problem persists, go into you ToEE root directory and delete TempleFrontend.ini. When you delete this file, you will lose your save configuration for Front End, but it might fix the problem.
    _____________________________________________________________

    I have tried the above multiple times. Everytime it gives me the following error...

    See the end of this message for details on invoking
    just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
    application or machine (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
    rather than being handled by this dialog.

    Well, all of this basically means that your installation has for some reason gone haywire - possibly as a result of some scanning software interfering with the operation of the Front-End (seems like cave_short.mp3 got stuck somewhere in an unexpected place, possibly because it got locked by some other process when ToEEFE tried to move it). My recommendation would be to reinstall the game from scratch, carefully following Zebedee's installation instructions. Keep in mind that during both installation and playing you'll want to keep all scanning software disabled (such as anti-virus programs) in order to prevent the possibility of interference. Just in case you'd like to scan your ToEE installation, do it prior to launching the Front-End.

    You can also set a new rule in your antivirus program to not scan the ToEE game folders and files.
