    hi bad news

    i delete game completely , clear reg blablabla, reinstall game, patch usa2 , co5 , and 5.0.4 and load game andddddd crash it wovv i think this not solve the problem

    the machine is a p4 3.0 ht 1 giga ram dual chanel and sata mother board asus p800 last bios update. mayby a ram corrupted ?¿

    not so importat because i play perfecly on my old p3 (and running in wine perfecly)

    You're not running anything overclocked are you aljares? Also I'm guessing you're running it under a form of windows and not vista, right?

    Other thing I would try is the no-cd patch as this seems to work wonders on some PCs when they have errors of this sort. (Sorry no link but google works wonders - you need the no-cd patch for Atari patch 2).

    I'd try them before going to hunt for any hardware problems which may be showing up only in ToEE (such as corrupted RAM).

    I have the same problem... I tried clearing the map cache and deleting the pyc files, but to no avail.
    I also have the antialiasing option unchecked, and started a new game after doing a full reinstall + patch 1 + patch 2 + co8 5.04 etc...
    It crashes everytime I go to nulb.

    I am running it under Windows Vista.

    p.s. I am running the no-cd exe file. So it's not that... :(

    Are you running the game with XP compatibility kaipan? I haven't got Vista yet so other than running the game in XP compatibility mode, I haven't a clue what else I can suggest. :confused:

    Honestly, I don't know Vista very much (or even more honestly, at all), so I have no clue if I am running the game with XP compatibility or not. How do I check it out?

    EDIT: thx google I found it out. I'll try running it in xp comp mode now.

    Running it under windows xp compatibility didn't help... it still crashes everytime I go to Nulb.

    I'd suggest random save corruption. Once you get it you're sunk, and it can happen anywhere and any time . . . although I do believe there's something about Nulb (and specifically your house in Nulb, and even more specifically one or both of the chests in that house) that seems to particularly encourage it.

    I would suggest its the size of the Nulb map: if the game writes little snapshots of maps visited into the saves, then it seems reasonable that the large maps (with many objects) are the ones more likely to be causing corruptions. Personally I tend to get save corruptions on the first floor under the temple, which is a hefty size obviously.

    crash at Nulb & more

    Whenever I try to go to Nulb, be it by walking or by teleport, TOEE crashes to the Desktop. I have up to Co8 5.0.4 installed. How can I fix this?

    As well, I healed the leatherworker's son, Bing, before I spoke to Terjon about conversions, and now the carpenter/conversion to the old faith/cupid's arrow quest series is broken. Any idea how I can fix this?

    clear the map cache, maybe...otherwise, corrupted save game

    Note1: If it's the map cache, that should fix it...a setting in the Front End of ToEEFE. Otherwise, if it's a corrupted saved game, nothing will fix it.

    Note2: fyi - Do not use autosave and do not use quicksave.

    Nulb crash

    OK - I had the Nulb crash. I tried removing the correct files under the Maps, etc...no dice. So I have uninstalled the game. Before I did so, I copied the Co8 folder which contains the character record and savegame files.

    So after I reinstall everything, which files should I replace with my backup so I can start up from where I left off? Or will this even work at all?

    IMO - I would suggest you start a new game with a new install of the ToEE game. Do not use autosave and quicksave, either.
