    Asherah's fate is determined by a 'random' turn of fate, but it's most likely everything will be fine if you do her quest.

    You can either join up with Wakefield (though not his army) or go it alone. Likewise with Ariakas on the other side ... you should try that once too.

    Actual jerkstop? Had you experienced that at all in your game previously?

    You should try that as well to test what happens. Bear in mind that great pains were taken to make this whole invasion thing realistic.

    Okay. Essentially, did the overall experience (the Hommlet WotGS part) leave you barely hanging on, or were you yawning and napping throughout, or somewhere in between?

    Later I'll give you some console codes to check your story state and various flags and variables.

    Phew! It's nice to be back, I've been busy w/ things lately. Anyway, sorry for the delay Gaear. I'll be posting now my feedback.

    [Spoilers Start]
    (I'm using my Fun Party.)
    Test 1:

    - Declined Ariakas defending Hommlet offer.
    - Rested for days+/week, then traveled to Verbobonc.
    - The guard mentioned that Hommlet was attacked by the Hexties.
    - Gained the Hommlet Deserter Reputation.
    - I travelled back to Hommlet, No NPCs except for Ariakas in the Town Elders house.
    - When I talked to him, he's like there's nothing happened in Hommlet.
    (The 2 choices in his dialog: 1.) About the defending thing 2.) Exit )
    - Now, when I accepted #1, weird things happen, when I went out all the NPCs are there.

    Test 2:

    - Accepted Ariakas defending Hommlet offer.
    - Ariakas joined my party, I went out and had a little chit chat w/ Wakefield.
    - I also let Wakefield to join, Hmm, isn't it strange to have them both in my party?

    Test 3:

    - Wakefield joined my party.
    - When I traveled to different locations (Moathouse, Deklo Grove... etc), BCOD.
    (see screenshot below)

    Test 4:

    - Accepted Ariakas defending Hommlet offer.
    - I didn't let Ariakas to join my party.
    - Wakefield joined my party.
    - We killed all the NPCs in Hommlet :evilgrin: (basement of WWI, The Guard Tower & St. Cuthbert, inside the Druids Grove).
    - gained the Hommlet Destroyer Reputation.
    - Wakefield thanked me, then vanished.
    - I went out, then all the invaders are gone.
    (Do the fire explosions remain in the major buildings in Hommlet?)
    - Now when I rest in Hommlet (outside), I can see the Badgers portraits w/ a shout like "Death For the Butchers of Hommlet", but then they'll disappear.
    - When I rest inside the WWI, the Badgers can be fought.
    - I traveled to Verbobonc, then the guard told me about being the Hommlet Deserter. Hehehe, I'm "The Hommlet Destroyer" but they think that I'm "the" deserter.

    Test 5 (W.I.P):

    - Accepted Ariakas defending Hommlet offer.
    - I didn't let Ariakas to join my party.
    - I fought & killed Wakefield & co, WWI invaders.
    - This is where I stopped.

    How can I go alone? I don't have a dialog w/ Wakefield that I can go alone.

    Yep. Hmm, jerk-stop is like stop dance right? It happened when I was outside the WWI then I issued a command, then they immediately stop. By the way I saw Brother Smyth froze in his anvil.

    Also, in some of my WotGS play-through (Now), I somehow experiencing it.

    Hmm, Yeah. A little bit, I kinda felt like I want to sleep in the middle. It's like "Hey, I'll finish/kill Wakefield and the WWI invaders." then "Okay, that's it - I'm done. I'll kill the others later". But maybe that's because I've replayed it. :bored:

    Now I get it, my beta test party didn't get the required story state - but I'm wondering why? My fun party is from the beta test, the only difference is that they've finished the ToEE. Hmm.

    I've killed the Gremlich, but I'm seeing him near the church. When I clicked him, he'll say "Eh?" then vanish. Was that some kind of an easter egg? ;) (see screenshot below).

    Another out of bounds text, Also I haven't took a screenshot of the another, Wakefield's gratitude last line is also out of bounds. (see screenshot below).

    Very good info, emo. This is exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for (actually "was hoping didn't exist" but it's better to know now rather than later). :thumbsup:

    As soon as I can I will try to fix it all (nothing seems too major, actually) and then you can have another run at it. In the meantime, keep playing it if you don't mind and try as much different stuff as you can. e.g., if you're a defender, you can go talk to various NPCs inside buildings during the attack and they will say meaningful things and sometimes help you.

    You don't have to report on every moment to me, but if you see anything else wrong, please let me know.

    Also, to artificially make your other save/group WotGS-able, input

    Yep that's what I've been doing all this time. Trying all the different stuff, I'm much of a completion-ist type of guy. :)

    Yeah, about that I've seen that too. Forget to post that though. I've seen Calmert, Terjon, Jaroo & Elmo talked about how'll they defend their posts if I'm on the defending side, and some bad comments if I'm not.

    BTW: When I slaughtered the whole town, including the drunken Elmo in the WWI basement. I can see his sobered duplicate near the south road (Filiken's brother in laws house).

    Oh sorry about that, I don't know how to put all the stuffs I've seen. Next time I'll try to compress them. ;)

    Okay, I'm eager to do that - just waiting for your go signal.

    Edit: Removed some posts, some misunderstanding

    BTW: I've reactivated the game, and when I installed the latest fix - it didn't somehow include the Magic Missile bug fix. But all is good, from the Moathouse door to the duplicates...etc, Anyway just saying.

    The inevitable bugs, so they can be fixed before the masses discover them.

    I just mean for the future. For example, if you're playing something for the third time and it's worked right all three times, you don't need to mention it.

    You may consider that the go signal. ;)

    Alrighty emo, please install the latest fixpack:

    What it fixes:

    • Makes Ariakas disappear like everybody else if you desert Hommlet and go back.
    • Closes the loophole where Wakefield could join a party that already had Ariakas if you followed the "I have the orb" node. (Was that how it happened for you?)
    • Makes it so that Wakefield will auto-disband if you go anywhere but a Hommlet map. (No more BCOD)
    • Makes it so that sleep is safe (green tent) everywhere in Hommlet if you desert and come back. (No one there to stop you - and no more disappearing badgers.)
    • Makes it so that Verbobonc law attacks on sight if you have the Destroyer rep.
    Please test all these things and let me know if they work properly now.

    Test 5 (Continue)

    - Sometimes when I use the world map to travel north, south & east. The invaders are frozen and also my party, then jerkstop follows.
    - Entering the Church of St. Cuthbert (after killing the invaders) causes CTD.
    - I can still get infinite +4 weapon reward (also the "Platinum" & "The Lady") from Ariakas (Infinite Dialog Loop). (screen00001).
    - After I killed Battlehammer and looted his corpse, he will rise and do nothing. Creepy. (screen00002).
    - I have the Mithril Tools, but no completion dialog from Fireforge. (screen00003).

    I've download the fix and will try it soon. Gaear, I may not be active this week. We'll have some preliminary examinations. :nerd:

    BTW: Just to let you know that I'm starting using my beta test party for WotGS.

    Okay, but bear in mind there's pretty much no tomorrow. This time next week the mod will probably be waiting to go on the server for distro.

    I understand. So.... here I am.

    All that works properly now. :clap:

    *When Wakefield's in my party, Ariakas still has the loophole to join. (see screenshot below)
    Hmm, it would be cool if there's a dialog from Ariakas getting mad when he sees my party w/ Wakefield.

    New fixes up:

    • Enables Fireforge mithril tools dialog.
    • Fixes Ariakas reward loop.
    • Adds new reaction from Ariakas if Wakefield is in your party or if you have joined Hextorites (sans Wakefield). Ariakas well question you and attack.
    • Makes castle panel invulnerable and adds the start_combat/end_combat routine for it.
    • Fixes the problem with members of large parties landing in blocking tiles on Verbo castle roof.
    • Bulletproofs Gremlich so all his instances are turned off if he's dead (won't appear in Hommlet and say "eh?" even though that was funny). ;)
    • Temporarily turns off Nulb signpost if Gremlich attack is imminent so it doesn't get involved in battle.
    • Adds Ariakas to list of NPCs who won't attack other good/lawful NPCs and those who will be intervened for (Elmo won't attack him, etc.).

    Please let me know if these work, emo. :)

    btw, there's probably nothing I can do about your issues using the worldmap to get around town during the WotGS invasion. Players probably shouldn't be allowed to travel that way (I disabled the Hommlet signpost during that time, for example), but I don't think I can turn off the worldmap function.

    In all seriousness emo, don't prioritize this over school. It we don't get this right it's not that big a deal in the big picture, but if you flunk your exams it is. :tombstone

    Don't worry Gaear, I think it's all about time management, I'm sure that I can handle both. ;)

    Anyway, here's my feedback to the latest fix:
    *Most of the fix is working, except for the "Panel" invulnerability. (screen0010)
    *The Old Mans' dialog is broken, like Jayfies' blank respond lines (from waaaay back v5). (screen0009)
    *In some instances after the WotGS scenario, my party freezes when exiting an indoor map in Hommlet (Church, Guard Tower, WWI... etc). I guess/suspect it's the day/night transition.
    *Fireforge, didn't go to Verbobonc after I completed his quest (I've rested like 30+ days, should I rest longer?).

    Side Comment: I don't know if it's creepy or funny to see that there's a player line that "Tell her that you prefer men" in Asherah's dialog. (Ughh! One NPC comes to mind... Bertram) :eek:_O:

    BTW: When I have the "Hommlet Destroyer" rep, then went to Verb to surrender. The Attorney will stop in the middle. It's like he wants to attack me, but he can't since there's an invisible barrier.
