I'm sorry, boys. I've been giving her an Unholy Orc Double Axe for years. (See Perky Death :dead::chick:) I'm not sure she will be satisfied with a light mace. ;)

It's not the weapon type that matters, it's what you do with it :)

And yet another question, what is blindness/deafness supposed to do? I mean in terms of stats.
I casted it upon a PC to see if the "to hit" had a penalty but it didn't change anything.

Cerulian's note pretty much says that: Don't put any created items in here. I am pretty certain that still applies.

Blindness is supposed to reduce the "To Hit" of the victime of it by 4, and I believe the AC is reduced as well. Deafness works similar, but I believe only by 2, and Deafness can force a Concentration Check for casting, iirc.

Maybe this is a bug, but I'm not sure...
I cleaned up the Moathouse, reported to Burne, got the "Moathouse cleaner" reputation, but the quest is still as Accepted in my log instead of Finished.
Do I have to do anything else?

EDIT: it seems I had to speak with Terjon.

Do I need to worry about if my Druid's Animal Companion dies?
From what I could see it doesn't matter and I can summon an Animal Companion (even different if I so desire) once a day correct?

As for Familiars, once you summon one you're pretty much set in for the rest of the game.
The manual says they will grow stronger as the character levels up.
    Is there information on this?
Any suggestion on what familiar to get? I'm thinking either the Toad (HP) or the Raven (appraise).

You can click on almost everything on the character sheet or combat results, like ability scores, modifiers and hit rolls, and get a "play by play" explanation for why it is what it is.
Also, I keep a save game specifically for testing the rules and crazy stuff. ;)

Good recommendation Lava, however in the Familiar case it's more complicated because it would force to not really play with the Familiar so you could try and check its effects while you level up.
I just tried summoning a Toad for my level 4 Wizard and there is no change from what it told in the manual (so as far as level 4, there is no leveling up of Familiar).
Same thing for the Raven, no improvements on stats.

Another thing I've been meaning to ask but have been forgetting...
Can I sell *all* the gems, ambers, carnelians, rings and necklaces?
Does that includes Lareth's gold chain?

    Thanks

EDIT: another question: do the non-magical helmets, gloves, boots, cloaks (without any insignia) serve any purpose whatsoever?

I would be careful when selling Lareth's stuff, some of the more shady shop owners might even recognize it and then there could be consequences.

    Alas, nothing happened :(
At least right after I sold Lareth's items to R&G nothing happened.

The familiars get more HPs as you level up with them, so its best to take one at 1st level. I almost always go for the toad as those 3HPs make a big difference in the early game.

All the gems and jewelry are just another form of cash, sell them all. Although I usually hold onto some of the more expensive ones until later in the game when my appraise skill is higher. 10% extra on a 7gp stone doesn't help much, but 10% more on 1000gp one does.

All those nonmagical things do is weigh your character down. I have everyone go barefoot for most of the game and only put on boots to free an inventory slot. I loot everything of value and sell it.

    Yet.

At first this made me fell stupid (not exploiting Appraise), but then it made me feel angry (I'm now getting worse prices)!
I think there's a bug somewhere in this, because I'm pretty sure that with an Appraise 15 I was getting my goods sell (weapons to the smithy) at somewhere 60-70% of the price.
But then I reloaded and did the level up and loot selling again (but with Appraise 15 again) and now smithy is offering less than 50% (of this sell price) for my loot.
What the hell is wrong with this game!!!? Or am I the one going insane here?
    I'm somewhat pissed with this.

EDIT: I guess it's Smithy that doesn't like me (probably because I'm killing the bad guys and helping the city *sigh*). The jeweler is buying the shiny ones at 74% the price he sells them.

Another thing I also noticed is that shoopkeepers discard most of the stuff I sell them :(

Another exploit for future consideration is on the shop map, and i think the Traders, sell some scales that give +2 to appraise skill. I think you can still buy several and they stack (although that's a bug).

Are you sure you are selling the correct weapons to the smith? He prefers metal ones, so bows, spears, even heavy flails need to go to the cabinet maker.

I've been selling leather to the Leather guy, jewels to the Jeweler, magic stuff to Burne, and the rest basically to Smithy. I wasn't aware that the bow and the likes should go to Armario.
I can't recall exactly on which items that happened. It could have been something like that.

On another note, I was trying to put an end to Rannos and Gremag however I noticed that the "See Invisibility" spell didn't help much, as the traders remain invisible :|
Is it really the way the spell works or it is because it's quest related?
I will let them escape, since it will probably be more fun, but in any case I'd like to know if it's a spell problem or a quest issue.

And on yet another note :p
    Is Warp Wood working properly?
The message in the Rolls History is: Melany cast ~Warp Wood ~[]!
It looks like the code is printing an empty array.
