What is the Cumulative Mods and Fixes patch? The CMF patch is a collection of Co8 mods and fixes that have been submitted since the release of the last official modpack and serve as a patch to it. These mods may consist of a variety of things - from bugfixes to content modifications to new content of some form or other.

    • For specific information on the mods, please see the CMF Submissions thread in the General Modification forum here.

    • To provide feedback in whatever form, please see the CMF Discussion thread in the General Modification forum here.
You can download the latest CMF release, currently v5.0.6, build 09.28.2008, from here:

If you're updating from the previous version of the Cumulative Mods and Fixes (version 5.0.6, build 08.31.2008), you may want to start a new game after installation.

    Notes:

    • See Step 6 of Zebedee's installation sticky in the Installation and Usage Instructions subforum here for instructions on how to install.

    • You must first deactivate the Co8-5.0.0 module in ToEE Front End before installing the CMF patch. In order to do this, launch Front End, make sure Co8-5.0.0 is selected in the list on the left, and then click the 'Deactivate The Module' button below. When you next launch the module, it will again build the 300 MB file and everything will be normal. Old saves will still work (unless noted otherwise) and your old characters will still be good (unless noted otherwise).

    • You must check the 'clean game cache' box in the ToEE Front End utility before launching the game with a new CMF patch applied. There is no harm in always deleting the game cache before you launch the game, so you're best off just leaving this box checked. We believe that most if not all of the Nulb crash reports are due to players not cleaning the game cache after installing a new CMF patch.

    • If you are upgrading from the original 5.0.0 modpack, you will have to start a new game. Your old saves will not work after applying the patch.

    • If you are upgrading from the old 5.0.5 version patch, you will have to start a new game. Your old saves will not work after applying the new patch.

    • If you are upgrading from the previous build of the 5.0.6 patch (build 08.31.2008), you may want to start a new game. Your old saves will work after applying the new patch, but many things will be different and you may not experience everything as intended without starting over. Always see The 'Start A New Game' Threat Meter above to learn if you have to start a new game or not between CMF updates.

    • The contents of the CMF are beta. If you don't want to play beta mods, do not install the CMF patch.
