Yes, I'll be done with it -long- before Monday (I'm on break now, with only 19 more to do); but, it will take Gaear a good while to sort and sift through 450 images  for my mistakes (thank you Gaear for checking it  ). I've been careful not to oopsie but I am only human...

I ended up spending more time than alloted for while re-doing -all- the 36 orig ones. The pack's been around since the game has; and, I didn't want to remove any of the orig portraits and dissapoint anyone who remembered them, and then saw the pack again here years later but minus their fav one :( Several of the orig's were hard to crop out intact; and, I would not have chosen them for that reason. I dressed them up a bit by exposing a little more of the orig art so they'd still feel new to old pack users; while others require they be placed side-by-side to see the improvements I made. Overall, I'm excited :)

Don't worry about no pressure on me for completion, as I often get obsessed when I immerse myself in a new project. Happened a -lot- back when I programmed. :nerd:

If Gaear approves, you can be the guina pig, errrr I mean the beta tester :) and then let me know how it looks and feels in game. I can implement your suggestions and give Gaear any changes made. After that the pack would go public and no more changes. Getting it done in a timely manner was just my personal goal  Although, for making the largest portrait pack in only a few days, I should get a badge of Furyondy :joy:

    I've completed the project :joy:

If it passes Gaear's inspection and meets standards, then I'm all done with it
@Gaear - Just let me know what you find and I'll fix it ;)

The project took a week, has 90 portraits, and is 9.6 MB when installed.

The Beta can be had from:
    http://www.mediafire.com/file/ggrf7l94lbyqc67/Luis_Royo_Art_Portrait_Pack-Beta1.rar (5.37 MB)

I've enjoyed making it; and, I do hope others enjoy using it :)

Useless Trivia: The -new- portraits added for each gender are grouped by the original publication that they came from.

Thank you Gaear for all your help

The portraits page looks great, and thank you for crediting me :)

Will you update the portraits.mes file (as needed for new Mod Pack versions) when you update the other packs ? Do you need me to ?

    Thanks again Gaear !

I'll take care of that - it's just an easy file compare job that I do with each pack when the modpack portraits get updated.

@Gaear- Thank's for minding the .mes :) Keeping the portraits.mes updated gives the pack an unlimited lifespan.

@Number99 and sirchet- Thanks, I'm glad you like it ;) I had a ball making it; taking something I've used for years and making it bigger and/or better.

@sirchet- Ted Dansen ? Do you mean Ted Danson from the TV series Cheers ? I don't know, but anything's possible. Some of Royo's paintings do depict real life people; and, the portrait pack does contain a few artistic renditions of famous people, male and female. As for myself, I've always used the attached portrait for a Palladin. To me, the image just screams Lawful Good, defending champion, honorable knight...

@Gaear again- In a month or so, I'm going to make another pack using the same genre of art by Boris Vallejo for myself to use. Would you also be interested ?

Hey Morgo, yup that's the one. :)

I like the other ones also, although some are a weeee bit risque for my tastes. ;)

    Again, Great Job!

    @Legless- Thanks, I appreciate that :)

@sirchet- Good Palladin choice! Some images risque, yes; but hopefully I kept them all tasteful and in-game themed.

@Gaear- I'll start the new project in a few days; and I'll post 130x150 jpg samples of selections made. I'll also include some works by his wife Julie Bell (same content and style). They both share an official web site together at http://www.imaginistix.com/ if you, or others, would like to view a sample selection of their art.

They would definately kick the stuffing out of my teddy bear cavalry avatar :)

Useless trivia- many of Vallejo's female figures were modeled by his wife Julie Bell; and some of his male figures were modeled by himself. There was a lot of artistic interpretation involved though...

Project Progress- Everything's going well. I've divided my efforts into 2 directions.

I've made the final selections for a 22 portrait pack, containing (non-nude) art from 10 artists. This 'fantasy art portrait pack' will be a stand alone install for those who want additional portraits without topless women. (I went through all the game images to verify not adding duplicates).

I'm making (about 25% done) a preliminary collection (to make final selections from) using art from Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell. The final selections will total less than 100, and be a number divisible by 7. The 'Vallejo Bell portrait pack' will also be a stand alone install, and may have a few topless women involved.

On my computer (and anyone else that wants it) I'll make an additional portraits.mes that combines all 3 packs. Royo pack first, ending with males; followed by multi-artist pack, starting with males and having 1 extra portrait (a gnome) to add into last line of Royo display; and ending with Vallejo Bell which starts with females. This will provide all sorts of new fantasy art to choose from in game.

I will share anything you'd be interested in having avail for others.

    I've attached:

fantasy_art_pack.rar contains 22 (multi-artist) portraits in jpg format. Each filename has: pack position number, artist & artwork name, and character race & gender. I consider this a non-nude pack; but position 15 image is similar but less revealing than Co8 ELF_2550_b_cabral.

Boris_Vallejo_preliminary.rar contains 33 portraits from about 25% of my image collection, and each filename has the year and artwork name. Only some of them will make the final cut for the pack. Warning- contains topless women

For sirchet, Jason_Engle_Paladins.jpg (artist & artwork name) Although it didn't make final selection, I did find a riding companion for your Ted Danson Paladin...

    Edit- Added:
Boris_Vallejo_preliminary2.rar contains an additional 32 jpg portraits.
