    I just did some testing.

    Fruella, Zert, and Raimol as well as several other NPCs that I tested will NOT sell their equipment once told not to. I tried over and over to break this and it simply would not happen.

    I now believe that the "More than 5 PC" patch causes this section of my script to break.

    So if you are using the "More than 5 PC" patch be warned that the Inventory control that is available in my mod may not work.

    Use the "More than 5 PC" patch at your own risk. I make no promises that it is or isn't compatible. I don't use it and don't care to use it as I prefer to use NPCs rather than more PCs.

    It is a cool patch and I am glad other people like it. It just isn't something I care for personally.

    I DLed the zip from your Black Jay thread. Are they the same?

    At any rate, I hadn't installed those files before I ran into Lareth, so that's fine.

    Re: NPC inventory, sounds like your right and it's the PC # patching . . . I don't doubt your own PTing. Thanks. I'm going to start a different thread regarding the larger issue there, tune in if you like . . .

    I've ran into a couple of bugs, both on the 2nd level of the temple (with the air, fire, and water temples).

    First, the fire temple chest where all those flame brothers and salamanders pop up, cannot be opened. I disarmed the trap and unlocked it with my rogue, and couldn't open it with any character.

    Also, in the water temple, I am getting 2-3 Juggernauts spawning in that encounter with the chief water cleric. I have a saved game right before I go into that room, and sometimes there are 2 Juggernauts, other times there are 3. I hope it's not a feature of the mod, one Juggernaut is hard enough, 2 just about kills my entire party and 3 is insane...

    On a related note, I used a Raise Dead scroll on my rogue after he bit the dust fighting 2 Juggernauts. He is multiclassed 2 fighter/2 ranger/4 rogue, and after I used the scroll his character screen showed only 10,500 xp which meant he was knocked down to character lvl 4. I'm guessing this is a problem with multiclassing, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a problem before in the original game.

    Hillgiants head?

    What was the idea/logic behind this quest? Most parties wont have the money or crafting options until the higher levels anyway. Taking on that hill giant at the lower level is about suicide. I do everything I can to get AC up as quick as possible, but now it's much tougher. The healing cleric is working overtime. If that was the goal, it worked.

    Seriously its nothing personal Wiz but I gotta contradict u here, I thought it was a great idea. The characters come with some very good kit and now, to get the impressive stuff, they have to earn it. I thought the giant's head was a masterstroke.

    All IMHO of course!
    But you can stack them with the bonuses of magic armour, if i am not mistaken? I seem to remember crafting +3 leather and giving it to guys with bracers (or visa versa) and they got the +3 benefit on top of the bracers bonus, though not the +2 from having leather... I remember wishing there was masterwork cloth so I could buff it and add bracers and even approached Jinnerth the taylor about it, but no such luck.

    I'm in doubt... more bugs or just me?

    Ok, I noticed the following things:

    - selling to ranos & gremag some or all of Lareth's stuff doesn't start any new dialogue: I red here somewere that instead it should. More, is it supposed to be a dialogue stirng where the PC refuses all corrupption gifts and attacks them? I can't see anything. I must say that I red lareth diary later, but this should not influence the game since I already know that lareth is a bad guy, he already admits to be involved in the temple matter and I already spoke with the spy that was spying ranos & co.

    - I've added the fixes for Black Jay and Lareth, but still the sheep poisoner won't tell anything more to me except the usual stuff where he will say nothing more. The quest wont' go over, even if I tried with a L 20 12Thief/8Paladin character completely oriented toward diplomacy. Any clue? Dialogues error? And more, I've seen that you added 2 different updates, one named Black Jay's sheeps and 2 different files, in another post, that should fix Black Jay and Lareth dialogues. What's the most recent that should be updated?
    Instead, Mikey's quest goes fine now, but I don't understand one thing: when I go to speak with Ophelia, to free Riana I have to pay 50 GC to Ophelia to have riana's services, then she just joins me. Liv, is this what you wished?

    More, those lotus petals are really hard to find :D Are they in the maps from the beginning or they are supposed to pop up only after accepting the quest? Was somebody able to find them yet? If this is a time mission, they can't be too far! :D

    regarding Gaeal's points...

    I had the same equipment problem with Fruella. After I told her not to sell equipment she still dumped her inventory in Hommlett. However, I told her again and it didn't happen again.

    Once when returning from a random encounter, on the way back from Emridy, the blacksmith attacked us in Hommlett. I went back to the random encounter and it wasn't repeated.

    If you take the Woodcutter's Daughter (Amil?) quest and visit Jaroo, and click on the girl, Jaroo speaks instead of her.

    IMO: Lareth still far too easy. The buffs are a good idea and I found him very hard to hit, but he doesn't do any damage. A couple of SoundBursts targeted my thief and wiz instead of the fighters slaughtering him, and didn't do much.

    Gnolls did not seem more difficult. Basically went straight to them (past zombies, ogre), and with minimum of strategy wiped them out.

    Compliments:

    Your new dialogue is spot-on. Almost indistinguishable from the original.

    I don't think the Moathouse Ogre is overpowered at all. I usually get my party up to at least L2/3 before the Moathouse though.

    I was playing the 1.5 beta yesterday (fantastic work, Livonya!) when I ran across a little oddity. It didn't break anything and it was only temporary, but it was kind of annoying.

    While fighting the spider in the moathouse tower, my cleric made a five-foot move. I then tried to move him again. This caused the message "Already moved" to continuously scroll above his head until the end of the round. At the end of the round it went away. Has anyone else ever had this happen?

    hmmm...

    Orion79 are you using the console to get a 12 level thief/8 level paladin?

    wizgeorge you don't have to go and get the giants head until you level up a little.

    screeg how many characters are in your party and what level are they when you fight Lareth? How many are PC's and how many are NPC's?

    Shiningted I don't think bracers stack at all, but I don't have the 3.5 books either so I don't know for sure.

    Yes, I made that PC because I wished to have all diplomatic skills at the top, to be sure of not missing any skill check in the dialogue with the sheeps poisoner. I was forced to dualclass to Paladin because of the thief level up limit that I described in another post, and since it was a lawful one, I wasn't able to dualclass to bard :)
    About bracers of armor, they grants an armor bonus, so it doesn't stack with other armors. The problem is that, being an energy field, it should grant a protection against ethereal creatures, like ghosts, but I'm not sure that ToEE support this detail.

    Well what am I thinking of? Someone remind me in a few days when I am deep in the bowels of the Temple with bracers and magic armour to toy with... I'm thinking of something, I really had a use for that masterwork cloth armour...

    In the 3.5 rules, the bonus from bracers of armor and regular (or magical) armor should not stack. ToEE, however, does allow the enhancement bonus from magical armor to stack with the armor bonus from the bracers, which means you can wear bracers +5 with padded armor +3 and get +8 to your AC. This is not the way rules are supposed to work, but rather a side effect of the way the game handles bonus stacking.

    Great, and I just changed OS's twice to test this and come back and report.

    Anyway, Kalshane's right, and thats what I meant to say. I dare say it is not in keeping with the D&D rules: but then, I personally think it makes perfect sense that an 'energy field' would be armour on top of your, erm, armour, not in place of it... but then, bracers were meant to be for armourless magic-users, not for your tank in +3 plate to add a further +5 when most everyone already needs a 20 just to scratch him as is.

    So use or not as u like, says I. Its value is limited, mainly for situations where characters are limited by armour choice and / or are taking a dex drubbing from heavier forms of armour. Possibly others simply see a nerfed rule and will want it dealt with.

    This has nothing to do with my mod. There are tons of posts about this. Nothing I can do.
