    well there are different ways. easiest is to download mirc and on the options menu you select a nickname and a server adress. then click connect and then when it connects a chat channel comes up and you write the #chatchannelname. or you can do the same thing from mibbit.com

    Watched "28 days later" and "28 weeks later" recently. the movies are quite stupid, but the girl actress in the second one is nice-looking.

    Near the top of the screen is a horizontal list of menus that includes things like your User CP page and the search function. One of the menu items is called 'Chat.' If you click the drop-down arrow you'll see a few options. 'JavaChat' will launch a java app in the same browser window that runs the IRC app with Co8's channel. 'JavaChat (PopUp)' will run the app in a new window. The third one doesn't seem to work anymore, and I don't remember what the fourth one does.

    You don't really need to download and install anything. (You do need to have java installed though.) Just click the links mentioned above and Co8 will run the session for you. And you'll already be on the Co8 channel where only Co8ers will be, not some random IRC channel with total strangers.

    When you get there, you'll see a list of who's there on the right, and the text entry field is on the bottom. Type your thoughts there and hit and enter and you'll be on your way.

    Download the mIRC script, then run the program, then click chat w/mIRC. thats what I did.

    Do you have 'teh java' installed on your system? It's almost universal nowadays.

    If you get the popup window saying something about being unverified, just click yes.

    If you then get the popup window asking you if you want to block something, just click no.

    It is safe - Co8 is not trying to get anybody.

    In such movies I dislike most the outright stupidity of protagonists. Actually, in many movies of different genres. And in many real people. And in myself. Bah. But I am much smarter than those protagonists.
