Greetings and salutations, welcome to ToEE the soon coming and arrival of my new large outdoor map MOD, named Hickory Branch - an outdoor area about the size of Nulb that is located in the Gnarley Forest.

What is in it? What is it about?
    - Hickory Branch is a devastated community area with demolished buildings from times past and is surrounded by, obviously, the woods of Gnarley Forest. An evil horde of humanoid monster forces has taken residence in Hickory Branch as led by a truly wicked Half-Orc, a commander who is a self-empowered megalomaniac.

When can we expect it to be released?
    - the evening of Friday, July 21, 2006

BTW, this is my first real overall modding attempt, too! It's not small at all; there's a lot and much to it with BIG fun and surprises.

You're only giving yourself five days to mod up something the size of Nulb? Go, man, go!

I've been working on this project for about the past three weeks. I had to learn a lot of new technology, at least, technology that is new to me - including reading the new PDF [a few times] I made of ShiningTed's Modding Tutorial from his web blog [you can find stickied here in the General Modification forums]. His tutorial was extremely beneficial. It covers most topics for what you need to know to make a mod, to include how to properly use ToEE World Builder [Agetian's super software] plus covers general scripting and dialogue for PC/NPC characters in ToEE, plus more.

So far, my new Hickory Branch MOD has involved this amount of work and effort.

    (1) made a new map [krunch]
    (2) added the new map to ToEE [krunch]
    (2) populated the new map with mob files [krunch]
    (3) tweaked+tested and more tweaked+tested [krunch]
    (4) critter factions - determine, test mobbing, write-up [agetian, krunch]
    (5) script - develope, test, improve, implement [rufnredde, blue, krunch]
    (6) general - brainstorms, discussions [blue, rufnredde, ted, cujo, krunch]

*** thanks to Agetian, Blue, Cujo, Rufnredde, and ShiningTed ***

And, I am not done yet, either. There is more to do this week for two more new, never existed before totally cool surprises for my new mod. Literally, it's krunch time all this week for me. Updates to follow.

If you need any Greyhawk info, you have but to ask. Good Luck!

Sorry, but this is without my understanding. More, you could have better used this time to copy and paste the Co8 readme. ;)

I have a Greyhawk question do Hickory trees exist in greyhawk. I always thought that Greyhawk had its own names for Flora and Fauna.

It has them, and everything else we have. There is also stuff beyond what we have that is unique to Greyhawk. Flora & fauna both mundane & magical.

Edit: But an elm is still called an elm...
2nd edit: Except by other races.

    :D

    @Gaear: Is this better?

    (3) added monster variants, also made a brand new monster [krunch]

[EDIT] And, no, I did not make Godzilla and add it to ToEE!.. :p However, I will say you will like the variant additions [nothing off the wall...SRD used] and, as well, you should like the new creature, too. The new creature is old to D&D as a classic, favorite monster and is brand new to ToEE.
