    This is very important, so I am quoting and reposting.

    If you console something with the 'Give' command and the item does not exist, it may appear OK, but later on down the road it can completely mess up your save and you won't know why. Let's say you want a ring of invisibility, which is 6088, and you first accidentally type 'Give 6888' and get nothing. Then you realize your typo and correctly type 'Give 6088' , get your ring, and move on with the adventure. Later, when you save the game, it will corrupt and you won't know why.

    So if you do a 'Give' command, type slow and make sure you get it right the first time.

    OK thanks.
    Everything seems fine now. Would you advise playing on or restarting my game without those corrupted items? I made DO NOT Use arrows four times, not understanding how the console worked and not noticing them in my inventory.
    Also can anyone help me find a Swamp Lotus?
    Seems to be a random encounter swampy area search. Searched one area but nothing seemed to be there.

    Just found the Swamp Lotus code
    {12900}
    And also found the masterwork shortbow code which seems to the same as the code that produced the DO NOT USE arrows.

    Just so I'm understanding this correctly if put in the Swamp Lotus code it would be like this:
    Open the console, type in give{12900} enter.

    You are meant to find the swamp lotus on a random encounter map, or not at all - just the way it was coded.

    give 12900

    would be all you need to type to get the item via console - no { } brackets, but you should really be playing through without the console at least once.

    Yeah trying not to console, actually just had a random encounter in a swampy area but can't find the lotus...

    there are a few swamp random encounter maps, the swamp lotus will be on the left hand side of the map, use the tab key to highlight loot (and doors and containers) to make finding it easier.

    Thanks, on another second swampy encounter but seems to be the same swamp type map. I've been tabbing for the lotus but nada. Maybe on another swampy map. This map is very brown with gnarly trees in the middle.

    you might not find it anytime soon, just check all the swamp random maps until you either find it, or the quest is botched.

    OK now I have a question. Before I go and finish this mission to get my halfling rogue a decent weapon; why is her attack so lame?
    She does have a low Strength of 7.That seems to be a minus on her attack and damage in this game. D&D 3.5 books are different. Wish I had known that before I went the shortbow route. Oh well.
    Also I've given her Rapid Shot but she's not getting the extra shot. I choose full attack but only get 1/1 for her shortbow. She's 6th level. I don't think that maters but maybe it does.

    Talk to the carpenter just north of the gem seller, and west of the traders, once you clear the spiders from the Decklo Grove he can make masterwork wooden items for you. Curing Amii isn't required for masterwork wooden items.

    For masterwork leather items, you have to heal the leather worker's brother Bing, and Brother Smith requires a Giants head before he will supply masterwork metal items.
