The work on my protos.tab editor continues...

I'm curious, how do people like groups of information for a given proto presented?

For instance, would you prefer to have all the standard action values laid out in text boxes in a grid, like:

    Standard Actions:

    [ 2 0 0 0 _ _] _ _ [ _ _ _ _ _ _] _ _ [ 19 0 0 0 _]
    san_enter_combat _ san_exit_combat _ _san_dialog

    etc.

Or in a scrolling list, like this:

    [ _ _ _ Standard Actions _ _ _ _ _ ]
    [ ______________________________[^]]
    [ | san_enter_combat | 2 0 0 0 |[#]]
    [ | san_exit_combat _| _ _ _ _ |[ ]]
    [ | san_dialog _ _ _ | 19 0 0 0|[ ]]
    [ ------------------------------[v]]
    [ ---------------------------------]

For spells, feats, bonuses, skills, attacks, and so on, same question?

[Sorry for all the underlines, HTML can be a PitA]

my vote is text boxes in a grid...

it is easier to compare one file to another when dones that way I think.

Well, I was talking about separate text boxes in a grid pattern for a specific record. So moving to another record would mean a new set of values for all the standard actions.

For spells, so far the scrolling list box method seems the most promising. The spell strings take up WAY too much room to be spaced out with 20 entries and all wide enough to be readable.

    Which brings up a question...

There is a "bug" in the data for 14284 [Phycomid]. I believe it's spell 19 (col330) where the spell is listed as:
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1'Acid Fog' class_sorcerer 6

This is obviously two spell strings pasted together, which shouldn't even read into the game without causing problems, but seems to.

What is the general take on this? Does the Phycomid ever cast Acid Fog?

For reference, here are the 20 spells of this creature (pretty boring):

    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1'Acid Fog' class_sorcerer 6
    'phycomid attack (INTERNAL)' domain_special 1

My guess is copy-paste error. But I want to hear what others think?
