Here are the scrolls for Darmagon's spells, all seem to work just fine and should be craftable with these files. (New spells not included)

Okay, based on our recent IRC meeting, we seem to have settled on a release date for Co8 4.1.0 of May 2, 2006, with a deadline for getting all source materials to Cerulean the Blue by April 25, 2006. As you can see, Blue has graciously agreed to handle the assembly and readme tasks again, so thanks C-Blue! I'd suggest that everybody get their ducks in a row on their own stuff and figure out which of your own projects you can get done by that time. By the sound, there will be quite a few beyond what we've identified so far.

A few other good ideas were submitted by Virtual SpACEman (henceforth to be referred to as either VS or Ace) regarding protos discipline and maybe keeping a master proto around somewhere in order to reserve numbers, etc., but I'll leave it to someone more in the know to expound on that.

Today is April 2 where I'm at, so we've got one month to chug to the finish line on this one. Let's make it the best Co8 release yet!

ps - Regarding testing, I suggest that we just run with Ted's idea of calling the release a beta for a while and squashing any bugs that pop up. We simply don't have a beta testing crew waiting around, although I know a couple people have volunteered.

In that case I will bump the re-arting of the nodes up the list a bit, and we will see how it all goes :)

Ummm thats ALL the node mobs? I would have thought most of them didn't have inventory?

A lot of them weren't reflecting the proto changes because it was hard coded into the MOBs. I had to remove that hard coded stuff (one click with Agetians WB improvements) so that they now draw from the protos. While I was there, I did them all.

Ok... what about the lizard in the moathouse upper floor? Any chance you re-did him?

Nope. I only did everything in the Moathouse Dungeon. I didn't touch anything on the ground floor of the Moathouse, or the outside of the Moathouse, or the Moathouse Tower. Should I?

[EDIT] Actually I didn't do everything in the Moathouse Dungeon, just the Bugbears, Gnolls and Ghouls. I didn't touch the rest. Call me lazy, but this was the first map I redid and I just did the things I had to. I probably should have done everything, like I did on some of the later maps.

Well I am going to redo the lizard myself and include his treasure.

Did u just rename the mobs to match existing ones or do a 'seek, destroy and respawn' thing?

Ted, just load the games original mob file, clear the d20 stat block, add the treasure and save, no need for fancy scripting anymore (but blue would most likely tell you otherwise ;))

What Allyx said is what I did. I just loaded the MOBs, used the handy button Agetian provided to clear the d20 stats, changed the inventory if needed and saved the MOB under the original GUI. If you don't have the latest WB (Agetian sent me one that takes you to the last MOB opened when you click the load button - I don't know if he posted that one) PM me and I will email it to you.

Despite what Allyx says, and despite the thrill of doing it via scripting (which was almost done by the way when Agetian made it possible to do it in the MOBs with WB), this was truly the more elegant solution, if a lot less glamorous and a lot more tedious and mind numbing. A trained monkey could have done it.

    Hey C-Blue -

I came across this post by Morpheus from the "Salamanders..." thread and wanted to make sure you've got it for the whole proto/file/reservation affair.

Those are the files I and a few others have been working with. Since some of the stuff I've been getting is coming from the old ones, I think I will post the case-fixed versions in the reservation thread as well, so everybody is working off the same files. Thanks for the reminder! :)

*cough* Well, yeah, the projected release date is smack in the middle of my holiday trip, unfortunately. I'll be off to the Emerald Isle, roaming the hills of Connemara. If someone else wants to do the installer, fair enough. If my l33t hacking skillz are required, though, I'll be available again from the 7th of May.
