    Another Bug:

    Sold Lareth's boots to the traders, they sent the assassin, I killed him. When I went back to the traders and confronted them, I attacked them. Normally they fight for a round or two and then flee. This time they fought to the death.

    They kept yelling for someone to come and help them. I think the name was Raimol. It was not their man at arms, I killed him easily and they kept yelling. I dont mind killing them, except then I cannot enjoy the ambush later in game.

    Note: I did not kill Lareth (I normally befriend him, take his stuff, and then let him loose in Hommlet for the future string of quests).

    UPDATE: I am now lvl 8 (I was level 3 before) and I no longer get the chat-chain to initiate combat after the assassin. I may have told Burne about the assassin attack, and told him I would deliver justice since then, but I cannot be sure. Basically this is how the chat goes:
    1) I accuse him of sending the assassin.
    2) He Denys
    3) I get the option to either say (paraphrasing) "Ok, I didn't think you had anything do with with it" or use my gather info skill and get "I am watching you" but nothing to initiate attack.

    Other bug: I saved Lareth from the tower, but I still get the chat option to intimidate and say "Where is the Master!".

    UPDATE 2: They flee with the invisibility potion if you attack without the chat [attack]. I guess you just need to leave chat then attack.

    The Robes of Midnight (found in Hickory Branch) give a +1 to wisdom instead of +2 as written in the description (which BTW makes no mention of the hide/move silently bonus the Robes does give).

    Great cleaver : d10, 17-20 x3, one-handed, considered a handaxe. FOR REAL ? :twitch:


    Quest :
    Is there something wrong with Rufus first riddle ? I'm 100% sure there is no way for the knight to know the color of the banner. :confused:

    Great Cleaver is quite overpowered, isn't it? This has been debated many, many times over the years...

    As for Burne's first riddle ("Burne tells the tales, not I" Rufus says) if you use a character with a high enough intelligence, you can not only get the correct answer, but the answer will be explained for you. Believe me, I couldn't figure it out either, but once I reloaded enough to guess the right option, the explanation makes sense. I guess my intelligence would be less than my mage's. :thumbsdow

    Its the second riddle I can't get :scratchhe The first one's a beauty!

    Ranth: I think with Sitra's unfinished mod for the trader's being abandoned, that whole scenario has been rolled back. You would still get them running off and the payback later, but I don't know you can initiate combat from dialogue any more.

    Another bug: 50% of the time when Senshock attempts to flee, he doesn't leave. It goes like this:

    1) Says his dialogue
    2) We say our 'You can ran but you cant hide'
    3) Senshock casts spell but he remains.
    4) He continues to cast spells on his turn
    5) When he dies his corpse lays on ground (but all black)
    6) When you defeat the elementals, his corpse dissapears

    If you let him flee, where does he become a shopkeeper?

    Hi Folks
    I have a slightly different Prince Thrommel bug. I rescued him, and escorted him out of the temple (through the Well entrance by Falrinth's room for what it's worth). At the time, I didn't really pay attention, I just went through the appropriate dialogue to get the reward(s), opened the world map and went on my way. After several months (gametime) of waiting for the reward, I went ahead and finished off the temple. Imagine my surprise when I learned that Prince Thrommel was still stuck in the Temple, and had become a Vampire !! I reloaded a save from just before I went in to kill Zuggtmoy, and went back to the secret room on Level 3, and there he was. I didn't know he and Paida were related:poke: I should also point out that I never got the reward from the Elves either (at least they didn't return to their cell).

    Concerning the bug involving spiritual weapon and enemies running back and forth around it but not attacking it: I fought a spiritual weapon and was unable to target it. There was no way to click it so I had to wait until it timed out. I believe the bug is a targeting issue.

    Dear All,

    - I talked to Wilfrick in Verboronc, and he assigns to quest: investigate about merchants being frozen and deal with Drows. Both of them require entering a tunnel in the gnome building. I talk to Gleem about th affair, and he replies to talk to Nybble. However, Nybble does'n do anything after I say that I'm going to deal with drows, and the tunnel door remains locked.

    - Just NW of the Air High Priest there's a group pf Air minions who turns hostile even if you keep all party members with white air robes. In order to avoi all air minions becoming hostile, after defeting them you have to leave the temple via world map, and re-enter it.

    Team, may have found a bug.

    Using COE Mod Pack 5.5.0 Beta with TOEE Front End-x v 2.1

    Steps to replicate
    • take party to moathouse - not first visit, but not cleared either
    • before actually entering moathouse, where the frogs start out, do a rest for about a day
    • wandering monsters invariably appear
    • before battle starts, about 6 dialog messages appear overlapping one another with a blank pc graphic as the speaker. If you open the dialog review panel, they all start with something like [moathouse description box] Oh No! or Retreat Retreat! or By the Gods Show Me Mercy.

    I dare say this is an old thing but the Robes of Midnight don't seem to match their long description: they give a +3 deflection bonus (description says they are thin and offer no protection) and a +1 bonus to Wisdom (description says +2) which in and of itself is contrary to the idea of bonuses for magic items (they should give an even bonus for attributes, so you don't have one character wearing it and getting a bonus where-as another doesn't).

    I've checked the SRD and various Complete... books and I don't know where this came from so I can't say what is correct.

    EDIT: Ewww - just encountered 2 Boba Fett / Doors on the road between the Temple and Hommlet: the encounter description said 'Giant Lizards'.

    I am currently doing a runthrough with a "Roll and Assign Points" party (which was discussed in a separate thread). I now think the "bug" is related to the rumors you get from Filliken's sister in law. The group I used when I first reported the "Unable to get the Teamster to talk about the Traders bug" never got any rumor about the traders being "shifty". This time, when I talked with her, she mentioned that she thought the Traders were "shifty" (or something to that effect) and I was able to talk to the Teamster about the Traders and get the information about their courier. By the way: After I completed "The Trader's Courier", and confronted the Traders, and got them to admit to spying for the Temple, I was still unable to mention to Burne that Ranos and Gremag were spys.

    Hmm, I have a bug where Burne gives you the location of Nulb before you clear the Moathouse, not sure if this has been noted before.

    EDIT: same thing with Jaroo's dialogue (TN party): the "moathouse cleaned" branch is triggered even though I haven't gone there yet.

    OK, here's one.

    Every time I get to the point where Cuthbert comes in and gives Iuz the riot act I crash to desktop.

    I have my McAfee AV turned off, am running the latest version of CMF with the awesome new FE.

    I'm running Vista Ultimate 32 bit in xp sp2 mode as admin.

    Everything else up to this point has run perfectly.

    I have attempted this part numerous times and crash every time.

    I am currently bringing a saved game up to this point to see if it's in the save I've been loading.

    Any ideas guys?

    Hi Folks
    I don't know if this is a 5.5 bug per se, but Serena and Riana both return to the Snakepit after being asked to leave the party. I would also like to point out, that it seems that you need a character with a few levels (6 to 8) of "Intimidate" to confront the Traders about the Assassin. It also seems that "True Seeing" doesn't work. I had my cleric cast it before opening up Prince T's prison, and when the cleric walked into the room for the first time, Prince T. was described as a "Vampire". IIRC, in the PnP game, there was an illusion of a Vampire with a stake through it's heart cast on him. I also tried casting Dispel Magic on him but nothing happened.
