Since, my method in readme.txt doesn't work anymore w/ the latest Co8 modpacks, but works only in unmodded ToEE. I will provide a guide here, to manually import* the portraits in-game. 1. First, extract the files of AziraxisPortraitPack.zip in any desired location. 2. Second, copy all the .TGA files unto this folder C:\Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil\data\art\interface\portraits <---- put it there. 3. Third, right click the window screen inside the portraits folder then point your mouse cursor to <Arrange Icons By> -> Click <Type>. 4. Fourth, now all files are sorted out, double-click portraits.mes, if portraits.mes is looking for a file extension, look for wordpad/notepad and select it, that will do the trick. 5. Fifth, now with notepad opened, press ctrl+F, a window will appear in front of notepad, type "HE" then click Find Next, until you came up with "; half-elves" under that we will proceed to the sixth step. //Set of white lines// {1520} {serathil_b.tga} {1521} {serathil_m.tga} {1522} {serathil_s.tga} {1523} {serathil_s_grey.tga} {1524} {serathil_m_grey.tga} {1530} {destriumme_b.tga} {1531} {destriumme_m.tga} {1532} {destriumme_s.tga} {1533} {destriumme_s_grey.tga} {1534} {destriumme_m_grey.tga} {1540} {rashara_b.tga} {1541} {rashara_m.tga} {1542} {rashara_s.tga} {1543} {rashara_s_grey.tga} {1544} {rashara_m_grey.tga} {1550} {ulfthaggov_b.tga} {1551} {ulfthaggov_m.tga} {1552} {ulfthaggov_s.tga} {1553} {ulfthaggov_s_grey.tga} {1554} {ulfthaggov_m_grey.tga} 6. Feel free to ask any questions, regarding the errors it will produce. Files are uploaded to moddb to ensure my files are safe and free of viruses. UPDATE: File awaiting authorisation. File will be ready in a day or two.
Nice portraits, I will definitely use them in 7.2 Co8 Modpack . Are you going to release some portraits for female chars?
This looks great. I haven't touched TOEE for a long time that I've forgotten the included in-game portraits; did you make these portraits from scratch or you edited the original portraits? They look very TOEE authentic.
Thanks, authenticity at the best. Well for your question, I gathered all necessary textures from the internet and form/modify it into one single image. Some of these images like the first portrait, is edited thoroughly using one of the ToEE NPC portraits. If I correctly remembered, he is Lowen who sells cheese but always refusing to barter. He is located at northwest town of Hommlet. See the difference
Nice, nice. Thanks for this. But can you get them any bigger? So we can use them for other things (or games) as well.
Hmm.. it is possible, but if I stretch those images they will become pixelated. Which may not suit your likings. I can provide the resources, but you have to accept the drawbacks, as I have limited skills in adding authenticity to textures.
