Well yes I actually saw the trees when I run the module...didnt expect it :).
But the point is to see them in the toolset so i know where to put them.

No, I did have a problem with a custom tree plug-in that randomized trees but that is something completely different.

When you "run" the module from the tool=set do you see the trees?

By run I mean it will actually start the mod and you choose a character and all.

So,I made some tests and i think I guessed correct. The moment I start the area I can place any tree I want. After i save it ,lets say as "test",then the problem occurs. The weird thing is ,that the trees already placed, can be placed again with no problem.Lets say you have a Palm before the save, you can place as many palms after the save. But any other kind will have this problem .Did you also have problems when you were working with this toolset ? :)

Checking the selection was the first thing I did :).The only thing I can think about is that it has something to do with the saving directory .Because when the new module starts is a temp file .Then I save it as a .mod and trees dont show anymore.I dont know ...maybe I talk nonsense :D hahaha .

You might want to check the tab in the called "selection". And see if trees are checked, I usually have trees unchecked so I can select things that are placed near to under them. Also, if the trees you're not seeing are custom, maybe you need the override files for them to show up. Hak files are for players and override versions are for builders. ;)

Hey there buddy, still in Canada ? Hope you having fun in Skyrim and any other RPG.As for me I really think that the Toolset is one of the most challenging things I ever put my hands on.The moment something is solved something else comes in the way.Like for example right now I got no trees :D.I see them as blueprints,if I place one I see it on the area contents but not actually in the map.
I noticed also that this happens to an allready textured area, not to a brand new.Headache :)...but maybe this why we love to make modules,if it was easy we wouldnt do it i guess ;).

It worked actually.I really don't know if it is good for the module but what I actually had not done was to load the hak from the module properties. So what happened was that I could see the blueprints on the list but not actually because there was no hak active. Now it is good and I continue with my medieval city.
By the way I think the artist was toupon,or something like that, and the component is Oblivion buildings and textures. Is really awesome.

Have you checked the 2da file in the toolset?

Sometimes when an asset doesn't show up in the toolset it's because you have the player hak for it and not the builder's override version.

I would look at the assets you want from the vault and try contacting the artist, he might set you up with the overrides.

I often leave things out of a hak that the player will not need to keep them smaller, you could also try dis-assembling the hak and placing the files in your override, (toolset always prefers the override files.

      Cheers.

Well have a nice time there .Funny you say JUST to Canada while for me is an ocean between :).Skyrim is awesome yes, simply the best game I played in years.I on the other hand am stuck on this electron toolset.Because even though i got the grip on it and went pretty far on my campaign, I found some medieval sets of placeables in the vault but they are in some 2da format ,now the toolset has them on the list but if i click on them they are not visible on the terain....just headache :).

Hey there sirchet.Long time no see, since I have finished ToEE a couple of time and there is no NC :). So what is up ? Are you still playing ToEE or any other cool game that I might not be familiar with ?

Now, the toolset ... yeah it's a beast that's not learnt overnight, but it can be learned even by those such as me. ;)

The voice lines you were speaking of, (floating text overhead) are called bark strings and they're not that hard to do. You can lay down a speak trigger for the npc to walk on and then speak, or you can have the barkstring fire when the npc is clicked on.

Here is a link to the quintessential tutorial for the toolset. http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2Tutorials.Detail&id=14

Here's a link to many more good tutorials http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?category_show_all=1&persist_search=69be775194da837dd71b015bdf8a7634&view=nwn2tutorials.list&Data_page=4

Hope this helps you and feel free to pm me any time.

Please, if you were anointing I'd let you know.
That's why we all gather on sites like this, because we like the same kind of stuff.
The link I posted is to FGII and yeah it's a very nice table designed for table top gaming via pc and skype.
      Here's the link again http://www.fantasygrounds.com/home/

You can download a free version and use it to play if the DM has a paid version. I bought mine after playing free for a few months.

Hey there sirchet.Sorry i bother you again :).I played PoR but experienced a few bugs ,like enter a door and not be able to come out again and stuff like that,so i stopped while i really liked the MOD.Anyways,i also thought of making something of my own.Transfer some campaigns and adventures i made for my friends for PnP when i was a DM.I have to say the Toolset is amazing and not something that I can learn in one day or so.I have problems with the scripts mainly, like how to make an NPC have this text over his head when you approach and so on.
But i am sure i'll get to it somehow.
Another thing,i saw in your post somewhere you have a link for Fantasy Grounds. Is this a gametable that I can play DnD with my friends online using skype ? Because i live abroad and i really miss some DnD sections .

Cheers mate and thanks a lot for all the info you give :).I hope i am not too annoying .
