    sps49? That was my primary nec in the Navy. I went to the very first school many years ago. Excellent radar.
    The portraits have changed a lot and #8621 is suppose to be the owl familiar, but it's not. The original owl portait has to be put in, but I couldn't find it. One of the modders may correct it someday.

    So I can just make an owl pic, give it the correct properties (white channel, etc.) and 8621 is the one? I think I can work with that.

    You could try changing the the portrait # in protos if you have ProtoEd. The owl familiar is 14904 in npc's and change column 123 to 4850, instead of 8620. 4850 is a nice owl portrait.

    There's a download for protos.tab fields. ProtoEd is easy to use, but it's real touchy. Don't delete anything without putting something new in. Go to rules/protostab and open it. In protoed click on select header/npc and scroll down to 14904. Move right to column 123(PIC) and click on 8620. It turns green, the click backspace and it goes white. Type in 4850 and hit enter. Then in file click save. It may or maynot work. It's really flakey/shakey. good luck!

    Hello everyone I am a newbie and I wanted to ask two questions. The first one is that i am playing the new 5.5.0 co8 mod. I have no music though. Any help on this? The second question is I am interested in learning to build my own mod. I see some of you talking about maps. If i download the map builder can I build my own world with new maps and make my own game? I have some skill in the creative side at least and friends who build stuff for Diablo. I am sorry if I am asking stupid question. Just wanted to know.

    Regarding the second question, yes you can absolutely build more maps. Hickory Branch started life in the Diablo tile editor thingy, I believe. So draw up a map you would like, then use ToEEWB to 'sector' it (mark no-go areas, water, add trees and doors, mark areas you walk behind etc) then add some monsters and add it to your game. ToEEWB comes with full instructions and there is a tutorial HERE. If you want to do a whole module or mini-adventure we would be happy to host it, though we can't guarantee every little mod will get into the Co8 patch.

    Regarding the first question, is your installation brand new from the ground up, as per the instructions? Otherwise, you might simply try activating a different module in the front end utility (the original game, for example), then reactivating the Co8 mod.

    Also, did you see any error messages when you first deployed (ran) the front end utility? One of the first steps is to create a default music package. Did it say that was done successfully?

    Just got ToEE deivered a couple days ago, got it all patched up and working (in spite of the intervalhehehe virus that came with a winrar download) and just thought I'd say, the new shop map looks great, the town descriptions are also really good. :D

    Alright it's been awhile since I've been on this board... :)

    I'm back and ready to play, got the game again, and downloaded the newest version from Co8 you guys are incredible!!!!

    Anyway, I'm seeing some issues, and trying to figure out if it's ME, the mods, or what...

    I went to the bog, but there was NOTHING there... now it's been awhile since I've played ToEEE but I think the bog should have something, lol... I got all the maps, and nothing else... no encouters of any kind.

    This is minor, but doing the Homlett quest for Burne/Rufus about finding the "traitor" as some would call it, I go to talk to Jayfie and figure it out, and both options 1 and 2 are blank, no text, and nothing I can do... I cannot progress with this quest... :-/

    Other than those two things, everyting else has run pretty smoothley I've already put a LG and LE group through the moathouse and one group through the orcs... but not sure what to do about the bog having nothing.

    Let me know if I'm just being stupid or what's up... thanks! :)

    It's my understanding that there isn't anything in the bog yet. It's a teaser. I think the bog will have stuff added later on.

    They are working on the Jayfie thing. It's a known issue. Nobody can progress with the quest, AFAIK.

    Yup, you're right. The Bog will be completed later and Geaer already noted the Jayfie bug in the bug thread list.

    That they are- Awesomeness... there is no charge for it. WTG Modders!

    I just popped in here to see if the Jayfie thing had been reported 'cuz I just hit that, and I see I was (at least) 12 hours late. Glad you guys are working on it!

    Other than that the only "bug" that I have run into is that in the beginning..

    In Ironman mode I couldn't save while IN the first shop map area- I could, but it would CTD on reload. Also after playing a modded (very slightly modded) group in Ironman after about a level and a half- I have the same problem -- CTD on reload :(

    I am currently running unmodded groups in Normal and Ironman, and have had no CTD on reload and I am up to level 3 in each... wish me luck.

    To be clear- It seems as if Ironman saves have a problem on reload. Definitely couldn't get it to work after saving in the shops area with modded group. CTD everytime on reload.

    Ironman mode is busted & causes corrupted saves.
