    This thread is explicitly for the purpose of discussing the Co8 5.5.0 modpack and any subsequent Cumulative Mods and fixes. You may post bug reports here or otherwise discuss the functionality of the mod, but please limit your topics to those two things. Posts of praise, criticism, or general commentary or inquiry should be placed in a new thread in the ToEE forum.

    When reporting bugs and problems, please make sure that your report conforms to the following bug report guidelines. Failure to include some of the required information mentioned below will result in your bug report being rejected, so please be careful when making reports. By submitting a bug report you hereby acknowledge that you have installed the game and the Circle of Eight Modpack according to the instructions provided in the README files and that you have read and understood the following bug reporting guidelines.

    1. Keep in mind that your bug reports will only be accepted if you are running unmodified Circle of Eight Modpack v5.5.0. The only modifications that are supported by the Circle of Eight team are the Circle of Eight cumulative fixes that are distributed in the form of add-on packages. If we detect that your problem is related to a certain customization you might have made on your own, your bug report will be automatically rejected.

    2. State your operating system revision, along with any service packs you may have installed and any anti-virus or other scanning software you are using.

    3. State what regional version of the game you are using: tell us whether you are using the US or the European (or some other) version of the game. Also, keep in mind that we assume that you have patched your game to Official Patch 2 per the installation instructions. If you haven't done that or if you patched the game to some other patch level, please reinstall the game correctly per the installation instructions before submitting bug reports.

    4. State the version of the front-end you are using (version 2.1 of the new ToEE Front-End X is included with the Co8 Modpack v5.5.0, and any earlier revisions of the front-end are not guaranteed to work properly with the new modpack).

    5. State whether you're running barebone Circle of Eight Modpack v5.5.0 or using a cumulative fixes add-on package (in the latter case, please include the full name of the add-on package you installed using the "Add-ons" feature of ToEE Front-End X).

    6. State your problem, in as much detail as possible and, if possible, with a step-by-step explanation of what you did before you ran into your problem. Remember that it's important for us to be able to reproduce your problem, so any obscure reports ("The game crashes, what do I do?") will be rejected. If you have a saved game that clearly demonstrates the problem, it would only help if you submit the saved game as well (e.g. if it's possible for you to upload it on one of the free file hosting services).

    This means your bug report posts MUST conform to the following format:

    1. State whether game is self-modded or not.
    2. State your operating system, service packs, and anti-virus software.
    3. State regional version of the game.
    4. State which version of Front End you're using.
    5. State whether you're using barebones Co8 5.5.0 or an add-on pack.
    6. State your problem in as much detail as possible.​

    Note that the above structure means that each bug report post must include numbers 1 -6.

    Oh, boy! I get to post the first bug! ;)

    Lila Renton is broken again. No DH. I still have the 5.0.6 fix, do I apply it the same way? (I think Ted is embarassed at some of the content of DH and is quietly try to do away with it.) :errf:

    DH isn't supposed to be in 5.5.0, GA. Do not attempt any custom installations of it until an official add-on pack is released, unless you're willing to render your installation unsupportable.

    Also, sorry to be a hardass but we're going to be very strict when it comes to the reporting guidelines. You didn't include most of the elements requested in post 1 above, which in and of itself will get reports rejected in the future.

    If you just want to run something up the flagpole, maybe a separate thread in the ToEE forum would be better, or even something akin to your other recent thread in this forum. Issues posted in those places will not formally be considered bugs though.

    Once again, if we want to keep a clean house (and we definitely do after what we saw with 5.0.6) it has to be this way. :yes:

    Is there somewhere I could check before mentioning a simple change as a "bug"? Or did I miss it in the list of "updates" provided in the post?

    Gaear posted trhe list of changes over a week ago HERE (post 17): the fact DH won't automatically be enabled in the patch (which it never has been) was the first thing mentioned in the 'Redacted Features' area.

    I remember reading that, but I relied too much on the list of changes on the 5.5.0 link page to form my expectations.

    At least I don't have the honor of reporting the first bug.

    Hello!

    I am playing the game (European version) patched with Atari 2 and Co8 Modpack 5.5.0 (ToEE Front End X 2.1) on a Windows XP SP3 system.

    I am reporting severe dialogue problems in Hommelet at the working camp.

    First of all, there is a worker with a different animation named Labor Foreman (or something similar) that has the same dialogue as all the other workers so that he would comment on the Foreman's (?) attitude towards Jayfie.

    The dailogue with Jayfie takes a wrong turn immediately with "1." and "2." as empty choices (there are no words after the numbers). In another previous attempt I had a "1.", "2.", "3." and "4." as empty lines.

    I realize I am not giving a step-by-step report here but it's enough for you guys to understand that the dialogues there have big problems.

    Thanks for reporting, Salk.

    The Laborer Foreman is a new PC added for the upcoming labor camp modification. His specific dialogue file does not exist yet, so technically he's just another laborer for now.

    I'll test the Jayfie dialogue for errors probably within a day or so. Thanks. It's possible I may have replaced his original file with a template for what's to come.

    I'm running ToEE + Patch2 + 5.5.

    When I go to Welkwood Bog, I actually end up at the Temple. I haven't seen any other posts on this. So I may have a bugged install.

    EDIT: I go to the ToEE when I am sent by Captain Renton. I go to the Bog if I use the icon on the worldmap.

    Jayfie is still there at the construction site by day and the labor camp by night. Look closely.

    GA82, did you follow the installation instructions precisely, including the uninstall and deletion of the ToEE folder? I tried to replicate your Welkwood-is-the-Temple bug but could not, so it's going to be rejected on the basis of inability to confirm on a known good install. It really is vitally important that all installation instructions be followed to the letter, otherwise we'll be off on wild goose chases trying to confirm bugs that aren't legit.

    If anyone else arrives at the Temple when trying to go to Welkwood or vice-versa, on a game that was installed precisely as instructed, please say so here and I'll investigate further.

    There really is very little chance of bugging your install if you do it according to the instructions.

    Confirmed bug #0007b reported by Salk: Jayfie's dialogue is goofed up for the reason I suspected. That fix will make the first patch, but honestly I'm not even thinking of patches right now.

Please do pursue those topics in their new threads, however, and thanks again for posting.

    Since I'm not getting a response to this on the other thread and because I seemed to overlook this thread, I'll post what I posted earlier here:

    Well ...I spared those damn gnolls in the moathouse. After I got the location of Nulb from Burne, I went to my map to travel to there. Along the road, I encountered a raided caravan. I couldn't do anything there except feel bad. So when I went to the map, my cross hair location appears where the Temple is supposed to be. I clicked on Nulb and the little red walk trail goes there, but then the game freezes. Nothing would let me get out of the map screen.

    I reloaded and repeated the error. The second time, no freeze occurred. But the third time it happened again.

    On the fourth time, I didn't even encounter the caravan ...so I went on my happy way.

    I also got the Jayfie bug.

    Can't replicate that, sorry. I'm not sure why the worldmap location is indicated as the Temple - that whole thing is a Livonya mod that no doubt involves some complex scripting to get it to happen at all - but when I traveled to Nulb via the worldmap I got there fine.

    Also, please include requirements 1 - 5 from the first post in any future reports. In this instance I assumed you were using Co8 5.5 and TFE-X, among other things.
