....that I could actually use all those healing scrolls that I pilfer from the church of St. Cuthbert to "kill the lich!" and the undead during the 3rd round of AoH- duh!:suprised:

If you "turn undead" him, he dies instantly

If you mean Masiol(?) aka 'the lich!' at 1st level I've never managed to turn him, let alone destroy him (although a LG cleric of Pelor w/Greater Turning might have a chance)- and evil clerics wouldn't destroy him either, I would think...

He's just a 1 HD undead-- I've had fantastic success just turning him (or destroying him when I've got a Sun Domain cleric around).

It's a shame that controlling undead through powerful rebuke is pretty much worthless-- When I've succeeded at it, they just stand there and do nothing instead of turning to my side. :/

Incredible! I just had a courier from Sargen paying me the 5000gp he promised for rescuing him from the node. That has never happened before. I thought he never actually gave the promised reward...

Then my clerics either have lousy luck or their Charisma wasn't high enough...:)

Just 5,000? You know you can bargain that up to 10,000 right? ;)

SenorOcho, I assure you that it's only this so-called lich is very unresponsive to your commands. Currently, I'm sporting my own little private army of undead (7 ghouls, 1 zombie & 1 skeleton priest) and as soon as they can see the enemy, they have no problem chomping away at their posteriors.

While I was thrilled to see that I had commanded a skeleton priest, he's more of an annoyance as anything else. He's very fond of the spell Soundburst, which is not good in melee fights.

I never bothered. Every other time I never got any money, so I wasn't really engaging with him - I just like his dialogue. It was a bit of a surprise when the money came, as I've rescued him at least 5 times before.

I'm currently doing a CE run, so I'll give rebuke another chance when I run out to Emridy and see how it goes.

I was also supremely disappointed by Animate Dead. Seeing that 1hd human skeleton pop out of a hill giant corpse on my last run... ugh.

    EDIT: YESSSSSS

Gazra that is a great list. Here is one on stats. How to get 18 in every stat in 1 roll and a few clicks, every time.

    1) Roll
    2) go to advanced tab - up one stat to 18 - click on it and move it to the right a little until you hit the invisible box (location of box from basic tab) and your 18 is now some other number
    3) go to basic tab, go back to advance
    4) up another stat to 18, click and drag it to the invisible box to the right of the stat until you hit it and the 18 is replaced with whatever number
    5) go to basic, go to advance
    6) etc until you go to basic and have 18's in all the stat box's. Then click on them to accept them into the proper attributes.

Done. Only thing is when your dragging your stats in advance mode, trying to find the invisible place. With just a little practice (trial and error) you will get it. It is certainly easier than clicking re-roll 100 times.

Not to burst your bubble but this is a known exploit for a lot of the long time players- most avoid it however as to them it makes the game too easy having such 'perfect' characters :). To be fair I usually use it to give my characters 18's in their primary stats (Strength and Con for fighters, Wisdom for clerics, etc.)...

True, but the purpose of the thread is to share things exactly like this.
