Someone on the boards said there should be a dream thread and I concur, so here it is.

I thought of this thread because I had a dream last night that was more involved than most that I have.

I was in a large, large city with many skyscrapers and tall buildings, and they were all crumbling and falling all around me and I was bookin' ass trying to outrun them and not get hit, jumping from collapsing bridges onto collapsing freeways into collapsing tunnels and getting thrown all over hell. It was surreal because it really felt that I was right there in it, running and ducking and dodging and juking from one near hit into another near hit. And there were no people in the dream, just myself, and it lasted for a good while.

Obviously, I'm trying to avoid something. It could be any amount of different things so I'm not exactly sure what it is but my inclination is the avoidance of responsibility. I have to be responsible all of the time in everything that I do and have been doing it for so long that it irritates me sometimes. I miss my carefree, young and stupid, promiscuous, drugging and drinking days where I could pretty much do whatever the hell I wanted with minimal to no repercussions.

    I have a dream.

I am in the woods and the trees are on fire. Most of the trees are hardwoods, not pine or fir. After observing the trees burning up for awhile, I see a caravan of huge trucks, more or less dump trucks, carrying
full grown, very old trees to replant the burning forest. Next in the dream, there is a wheeled chainsaw about the size of a farm combine, with a guy driving it. The blade part of the chainsaw is probably 20+ feet long. I run away from it, going down hill, and the chainsaw chases me. Then the guy driving the chainsaw says I would do better to run uphill as the chainsaw can't manuever well uphill. The phone rings and I wake up.

I am fully aware of what this dream indicates, thank you.

Hah! Exactly right, Sergio. Nothing. Otherwise I wouldn't bemoan not having a reason to put on my dancing shoes.

I've always had a recurring one.

I standing naked on a hill, surrounded by a multitude of naked women who are pitching pickles at my p*n*s.

the trees are people. you see them as ruin. you see how healthy people are taken and ruined ones are replaced. the chainsaw represents the man. you have something that the man doesnt have but he wants you anyway.

I can not understand why BUT and ANYWAY are in the sentence, because it is quite natural to want something one does not have.

EDIT: I thought about something good, but considering something bad, the sentence makes sense. Thank to Necro for clarifying this for me (see below).

Trees in a dream or a drawing generally signify the self. Fire = anger or desire. A lot of energy, at any rate. The burning trees are being replaced, by mature trees. Maybe older and wiser? One would hope. The chainsaw is obviously phallic. Not so sure about what the man wants or doesn't want.

That, or indigestion. Necro in particular would be subject to the vagaries of his all red meat diet. ;)

    :twitch:
A 20ft long Chainsaw phallic. That sounds like a nasty horror movie.
Would recommend sticking with ranged attacks against that bad boy.

I wonder if it would always be 20ft? Would make sleeping difficult.

I've never thought of my junk as a chainsaw. A rabid wolverine, yes, but not a chainsaw. Funny, what the human mind does.

    Maybe a Hitler chainsaw.:chainsaw:

The mind tends to magnify what it desires, no?

    This one went by me...

That's the plan. The ranged part anyway. Lots of distance.

    Ummm....yes.
