Why do the actors have any say in it? Seems like an unnecessary waste of time. :gotmyatte

Guess it is just the Ego and their wish for control and be the center of attention. :)

Of course, being self-important fruit loops, they would naturally interfere. But why would anyone ELSE give them any opportunity to say anything at all?

    Copyrights. ;)

Studios have the rights of the characters, not of the actor's likeness.
So, if you do (for example) a comic adaptation of Predators, the character has to look like Adrien Brody. But he has the rights of his own likeness, so he gives the OK. If he doesn't, then the character has to look different on the comic. It will still be the character, but not the features.

    Irritating and confusing :p

I think the second choice should be automatic. The comic is about a character, not an actor. It's up to the actor to portray the character, not the other way around.

It is irritating when you delete an email account in Outlook Express because you're not receiving email from that account anymore, and it says "Are you sure you want to delete this account?" instead of "Are you sure you want to wipe any trace of any email that was ever associated with this account from the face of the earth, even though the dbx files aren't so big that they can't fit in the recycle bin or anything like that, because that's what's going to happen if you click the yes button? It's not like we'd assume you might want to save those emails because that would be insane - delete account means destroy all traces of that account, after all. If you're sure, gently click yes and we'll ask you a second time if you're really, really sure, because it's actually kind of suicidal and we don't recommend it. If you think then that you really are really, really sure, click yes again to have all emails ever received, sent, or stored in this account obliterated forever, with no hope of ever getting them back."

It's even more irritating when you then have to answer yes ten times to whether or not you're sure you want to do something just batshit crazy like turn the computer off or download a file.

I strongly dislike incompetence nearing stupidity, especially if it is not mine.

(Well, in myself I like everything, because, why, it is ME :chick: !)

Yes, but sadly my experience of incompetence is seldom the result of stupidity, more so a consequence of laziness, ego wanking or strategic ass-covering manoeuvres.

I'm irritated because every year once or twice I get really depressed without any reason. Why is that? I feel so helpless and clueless in this time and don't know how I can stop my feelings and how I can make myself feeling better... I know that I'm not alone.. and that after a while it's getting better... but I hate to wait.

Re: Question related to DnD miniature size

@kantha, what is the advantage to being a human spambot? That seems like a real time-sink for little payback. You must have made, what, 5 cents for posting the flowers link here? How is that worth it - especially considering the effort you had to put in to play nice for four posts initially?

Ban incoming, but I'm curious to see if you have an answer first.
