Hello, I just cleared the Moathouse and killed the assassin on my way to Nulb. I can't seem to loot him. Is that correct? Thanks, Chiech
You should be able to. What version are you playing? He has a note that could be important if you did not find out who sent him in the dialogue.
5.9 NC. I encountered him on a river random map and I can't seem to find his body. I saved so I will go back and keep looking. Thanks
One problem with defeating foes in the water is that their bodies will not always show up when you hit TAB. If you can remember where the guy died, you can try to put your mouse over that area. Then click it with your group and you may be able to get his loot that way. Otherwise, if you have a save before that battle, try to see if you can encounter him on better terrain.
When you say you cant find his body, you mean you cannot open it right? If you hold down the Tab key it should highlight all items/corpses on the map (in case he is under water or something).
It's hidden. Look for a single bubble and ripple when no one moves, and the body is near that. This sort of thing is difficult in the real world, too.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I could not see him with the TAB like normal, and I clicked all around where he died to no avail. I did reload and kill him on a different map so I was able to loot no problem. Thanks for all the help. Cheich
GuardianAngel82 is right. I had the same problem with all of the NPCs in the A band of adventurers random encounter. I fought and killed them all in the river. You then have to have all of your characters stand still and patiently wait for a ripple to radiate outwards in a circle which indicates the location of a corpse. Then move the mouse pointer over where the ripple originated from, so you can loot the corpse. The ripples randomly appear every few seconds for any corpses under water.
Ha, last time I saw them I killed them all but the dog, who I charmed and took with me to the temple.
I had seen this error many times when I played the vanilla TOEE. Ended up retreating enough to have them come out of the water and fight as it happened almost every time.
