No go on movies. At least currently.

Saw the remake of the Karate Kid on 6/18. That was a good movie. Really enjoyed it, as did N.

Dunno if it matters, but the Leonardo Di Caprio dream movie had J and I pretty interested.
    Same with Despicable Me.

    I too recommend "Despicable Me".

See "A-Team" if you enjoyed the original TV show.

I wasn't that impressed with the "Karate Kid" remake. It was poorly edited and the the tournament-winning kick at the end was ten times as asinine as rhe original's. But Jackie Chan was excellent, as usual.

I hope you had a good day and the rest of the night goes well.

I went out to dinner with a friend...to a small mom & pop pizza place that has a small pizza and salad/rolls buffet in addition to their main menu. I had a good time, but ate way too much. I am stuffed and sleepy.

Threatened to rain all day, but hasn't made it yet.

We've decided to see the one with DiCaprio. Haven't seen him in a bad movie yet. And the plot/premise of the film sounds interesting. Since I write or often comment on dreams/dreaming, I might as well see a different viewpoint.

Saturday night. I hope you are having fun tonight. I think I am going to bed early and give this overstuffed stomach a break (thus allowing all the fat I shouldn't have eaten in the first place the opportunity to migrate to my outer layers...).

To all who will sleep on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Stuffed tummies belong in bed!
    Get ready for interesting dreams.

When you wake up, don't forget
    to exercise!

May the Lady smile on me.

    G'Night.

I hope you had a good day and the night is going well.

    Night's still young yet.

I went and saw Inception. It was very good. Excellent in fact. Very fast paced. I was unable to immerse myself in the movie because it had some unique ideas and moved so fast that I barely had time to figure out what was going on before something else was happening. Normally, if I can't immerse myself in a movie, I lose interest. Not this movie.

DiCaprio depicted a man obsessed, guilt ridden, vacilating between doubt and belief about an underlying issue of his own and trying to hide these internal demons while simultaneously pursing them. He was good, very believable, and it was during those moments that I could immerse myself the most.

Many of the action scenes put The Matrix to shame.

And...there was a trick ending. Go see it, and you'll see.

In particular, like to hear GA82's take on it.

    Dinner was good too. Moe's.

To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

    Sleep.
    Dream.
    Wake.
    Live.

    May the Lady smile
    on me.

    G'Night.

Seems strange to be a Monday. Maybe because I often work Monday nights and I'm not this week.

I am really tired today, brain dead as well.

To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission (abbreviated...again):

Ask the Lady to smile on you,
if you need it, then sleep.

Wake up and listen to the birds sing,
    if they do.

    G'Night.

Busy this evening, visiting friends. Had some very good home cooked Chinese food for dinner. Authentically Chinese. And fresh pineapple slices and those hybrid cherries that are so sweet for dessert.

To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

Hang a dream catcher over your headboard,
blow a kiss at it before falling into sleep; it
may bring you the sweetest of dreams.

Smile when you wake up the next morning,
    warm from the night's adventures.

    May the Lady
    smile on me.

    G'Night!

I hope you had a good day and the night went well.

    Oh Morpheus!

    Come collect me, gather me
    close in your arms.

    Take me away,
    far, far away.

    Down into thick black oblivion
    where the sands of time
are the only things that move,
marching to each drum beat of
    my heart.

Comes the morning when it will.

    G'Night.

That is exactly how I feel tonight.
Is that one original or is it a quote?
    Very good which ever.

Mine. Thank you. Sorry you feel that way. Guess we all get that way once in awhile.

Full moon this Sunday, I think.

The county plowed the road to where I work. Did a lousy job. It was really bad, deeply rutted, getting close to needing 4 wheel drive almost just to get down it. Now the deep potholes and ruts are gone and it is washboarded. Not that anyone has ever driven down it fast enough to have problems from washboards. Last time, whoever ran the grader left it smooth, not a single washboard. Guess it makes a big difference who runs the grader.

Sleep warm, but not too hot.
    Cool, but not too cold.
    Always dream sweet.

Wake up to a good day.

I hope you had a good day and the night goes well.

The full moon occurs sometime late tonight or tomorrow depending on your calendar. I even have one calendar that puts it on Monday, so take your pick. Whichever, get ready for a lot of energy!

I am no longer married/partnered in Second Life.

To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

I hope you had a good day and the night goes well.

    So...a full moon.

Let the dogs out, let them pack and run wild through the night, howling, their eyes burning, the bright moon turning their slavering jaws silver.

That's what I think of the full moon. Tonight anyway.

Why is it that when you are the most miserable, nature decides to show you something intensely beautiful? That's what happened tonight. Driving home, on one stretch of the road the trees opened up and there hanging under the cloud cover, was the reddest sun I've ever seen, swollen, the red leaking out, turning the bottom of the clouds iridescently, violently pink.

This was not a one shot event. I remember feeling full of despair at other times and then nature goes and kicks me in the head with another scene that could only ordinarily be seen in the movies or on a postcard.

I do not know what the message is here, if any.

To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth,

    The Nightly Mission:

Warm cats, purring and rumbling next to you
when you are trying to go to sleep, are very soothing.

And they will wake you up in the morning, too. Wet noses
    are a sure waker-upper.

    May the Lady smile
    on you and me too.

    G'Night.

    I've noticed that, too.

I hope you feel better soon.

When I feel blue, I go and hang out with some squawky monkeys. If they don't cheer you up, then at least they wear you out. :joy:

Thank you for the hugs. I'll get there...sooner or later.

Life manages to teach us it's lessons, even if it requires some severe body blows before those of us (me) who are most dense are ready to listen.

    Mistakes I won't make again?

    1) Ignoring my intuition. When your guts are screaming,
there's a good reason for it.

    2) Letting 'I need...' get in the way of 'I expect...'

    3) Giving away my boundaries.

    4) Discounting input from my friends.

Not all of the lessons I've learned were hard ones. And I'll remember those, too.

Meanwhile, back to the farm. Errr...the ranch.
