    The draw behind the wall looks similar to what you have here. I was going to open an "the people look like they're being x-ray'd" bug but then I saw in an earlier post that was intentional. It's obviously different (not as subtle) from the original ToEE game rendering of things behind walls, but the player get's the point. I'm not sure when you'll be taking UI/UE feedback, but that would be one area that may be worth some additional discussion, as I often had a hard time with the battles that happened behind walls. The original "barbarian in moathouse" battle is a good example if you have players behind those walls.

    I'll give screenshot tonight when I get home from work.

    I don't remember if I saw the particle effects (smoke, etc.) or not. I do remember that the trees in Hommlet would sway around in the breeze. Not sure if that's the same effect.

    EvilTemple.log says I'm on using OpenGL Version 2.1.2. I've .zip'd a couple of screenshots one of Hommlet, where you can see the chimney just south of the Welcome Wench but no billowing smoke like it usually does, and another of the Temple Map 2 area you requested. In the area you requested, you can see the x-ray bugbear, but you cannot see the smoke coming from the torches. Zip location, including the .log, is in a PM.

    First off, though I know there's still much to be done, seeing dialogue and hearing the voiced lines really makes it feel like it's coming together. Great work!

    Now on to the less pleasant stuff :)

    I've had a crash - link to crash dump file.

    Sound files are sometimes cut off in the middle. E.g. this guy's greetings:

    Wall transparency does work.
    Not shown in this screenshot, but sometimes it produces unwanted effects, e.g. critters close to walls being partially x-rayed.

    Thanks for the feedback Sitra, i took the liberty of resizing the screens in your post.

    Now for the actual report:
    - I think I fixed the actual crash, although the root cause is different. Probably a model it couldn't find or something like that.
    - I can't check on Mona (I have no idea where she *should* be). Right now I am experimenting with converting the Co8 mod, but I have to deal with some hickups (jeez, the protos tab is a MESS for co8).
    - The water ripples are probably part of the particle system timer issue I am having (I somehow use the wrong time unit :/)
    - Burne's dialog should already be fixed in the new version (Although the Co8 version has a bug in it, 'CHAOTIC NEUTRAL' instead of 'CHAOTIC_NEUTRAL').

    Sadly the version at the top of the thread is already quite outdated :)

    I'll try to get a new version out by tomorrow and integrate fixes for the issues you reported.

    What's the issue with the Co8 protos?

    Those items - I'm guessing they are spawner objects. Before ToEEWB, that's how new creatures and items were added / removed (via the spawner object's heartbeat script). Many of them are still around, and that one specifically is probably used for the smith's chest script.

    Also, Gaear - looks like you got your work cut out for you :)

    P.S. Regarding Mona, she's supposed to be next to Serena.

    Do I need to have ToEE installed to run the new engine and test it?

    Yes you need ToEE. I don't redistribute any of the art/music/sound/maps/whatever that come with the original game.
