I have a friend that lives just south of Minneapolis. She has gotten out of 3 tickets that I personally know of because she keeps a bible on the front seat next to her as she drives. She's got a heavy foot. And she's one of the nicest, mothering people that you would ever expect to meet. I think she does it because she doesn't have a big rack. A big rack only goes so far because what if the cop that pulls you over is a woman or a gay man? The bible covers all situations better, lol.
Nah, there isn't a holy book written that could've gotten me outta this one. Now if I had a big rack.... wait, that wouldn't have worked either, it was a female cop who nailed me.
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Still cold. And the dark moon comes soon. I can hardly wait. I work tomorrow and don't know where or when. That's got to be a first. I hope I am not late. But they know never to schedule me early, so I doubt if I will be. To all who sleep tonight (or will) on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep warm and deep in the nest leave all your cares and keep the best of what happened during the day, let them carry you away. Wake up tomorrow, happy. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I think I can answer this, in part. Originally, a group of us were kicking it all over the forum, and being a little, um, ribald and disruptive. So the various posts that seemed to be connected or have some continuity, I guess, were gathered here to clean up the other forum topics. In short, you could say (if you cared to look at it that way) that it was a measure taken to um confine me and the rest of the Queen's um fanboys. (Jail, if you will oke Things have diverged some from the original give and take. The thread does not seem specific to Her Majesty the Queen any more. I occasionally use the thread to post verses that I write to alleviate various emotional stressors in my life, and I like writing the Nightly Mission, even though at times it is lacking in content (maybe most of the time, no?). I like having a place to put my verses. And I do not wish to discontinue the Nightly Mission. Co8 has been very generous to allow me to post here and I appreciate it. Sometimes, I do miss the fanboys, but life moves on and things were getting a bit dramatic, perhaps a little too much so, no? If I can ever get the game and mods to load again (damn this Vista, anyway), I intend to finish the story, too. I need to replay the game so I can do a better job on the fights in the story. So it is stalled until I can start playing again. I think that answers your question. Her Majesty the Queen
It surely does lol, I was tempted to start reading through a thousand posts but I don't have the time for that O-o, so I just asked
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well! I found out where the training was held and showed up on time, only to find out that I was going to be there the entire afternoon. I did enjoy it, though. And more tomorrow night. The moon slices down to dark, closer and closer. Many people have frozen irrigation systems. I heard the hardware stores have run out of parts. In this part of the country, the lines to water lawns, etc., are not buried very deep. I do not know yet if mine have frozen or not, since I haven't been outdoors when it warms up enough for the pipes to thaw to notice. I am worried about the line that runs under the concrete driveway. If it is broken, that one will be fun to replace, I imagine. Not that I will be the one replacing it. Driving home tonight, there was a beautiful pink sunset, quite extensive. It was especially spectacular when it was the backdrop for one of the big trees in the highway meridian. Black against almost neon deep pink. There must be an inversion system in place for the pink color to extend as far into the horizon as it did...lots of low lying haze, but no clouds. It is cold still, with more forecast. The coldest yet tonight, and bitter cold all day. For Florida. It snowed about 30 miles south of here. Many people (so I heard) did not know what it was at first. Floridians are well acquainted with hail, and some people thought the snow flurries were hail. I found a small lizard frozen to death on the sidewalk outside the training site. Several deer were grazing on some green grass growing in ground that was a little lower than the surrounding land on the drive home. The deer were very close to the roadside. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the soon to be dark earth, The Nightly Mission: As the cold reaches its fingers deep into the earth, be glad for the walls that surround you and keep the warm air in and around you. Sleep luxuriously inside your comfortable covers and dream of the oncoming warmth that will soon blanket the land. Wake up in the morning and put some warm socks on. May the Lady smile on you and me, too. G'Night.
Ok. I just had to do this. dut dudda dut dudda dut dudda duh (trumpets blowing, snare drums tapping) 1000 posts! :joy:
