Hemlock Missing?

    I just started my second playthrough of ToEE and I've hit a problem with the Black Jay quest. I talked to him about helping him find out what's killing his sheep but no hemlock appears in the field next to his house where the sheep are. I've even waited a considerable amount of time to see if it would appear and it has not. Any suggestions?

    I have Co8 5.6.0 Beta installed.

    BTW am I missing something new here or is the Black Jay Wife's ring quest gone, or just the start point moved somwhere else?

    I've got two parties in a row that had nothing to do in the Deklo Grove after the spiders...

    The sheep are dying because Zuggtmoy has spread a poisonous mushroom strain through the land and the sheep are eating the poisonous mushrooms. You just need to kill Zuggtmoy to complete the quest. The reward from Black Jay is a nice, warm pure wool winter coat.

    I was thinking of going TO Black Jay-just to see if he STARTS this quest, but I thought it weird that he would start a quest about a supposedly lost ring... This isn't about he Hemlock thing at all, but since it involved the same guy I thought I'd ask here.

    I was expecting the usual kobold after spider attack and when it didn't materialize I thought "Hey that was weird, wonder if there's a bug or if they just changed the quest generation encounter" THEN not too long after the Deklo Grove (it MIGHT have been RIGHT after- on the way back to Homlett) I had a random encounter with a Kobold Sergeant and about 5 or 6 kobolds, and I thought "AHA- here it is" but - Alas, ther was still no RING.

    I was just asking earlier to make sure there was no bug.

    I will ask everyine in town, eveything :) I don't mind- what was old is new again! :rock:

    I think the ring is in a different place depending on the alignment of your party,:yes: which is pretty awesome :yes:

    Unacceptable. You expect me to waste precious hours figuring out how to do something without a walk through?

    I guess I am forced to read the DLG and SCR files to find where it is...

    Augh! I am not a Modder- I don't even KNOW what those files ARE! Heck I just figured out how to change portraits (already made properly portraits mind you!) after playing this game for - oh- 3 years!

    Geez, I thought forums were for cheaters!! :poke: So much for the easy way...

    I talked to Black Jay BTW- he didn't start the quest...

    I've found the ring, but not the cause of the great mutton extinction.

    Wow. I did something before ShiningTed? Sweet!

    Kudos to the development team on the great work with the Co8 mods. Love'n it!
